In the summer, if you often go outdoors to play, you are very likely to be stung by bees. There are many kinds of bees in the wild, such as the well-known honey bees, wasps, etc. There is also a kind of long-legged bee. This kind of long-legged bee is relatively large, especially its legs are longer. If stung by this kind of bee, the patient will experience severe pain. So is this kind of bee poisonous?

If you are stung by a bee, the area will generally be red and swollen for 2-3 days. Relax, it will be fine. What needs to be noted is whether the stinger was removed at that time.

Suggestions: If the pain is particularly severe or unbearable, apply ice to the affected area to stop the pain immediately and reduce the redness and swelling. If systemic allergic reactions occur, anti-allergic drugs can be taken orally.

If you are just stung by a bee and it is a minor injury, you can rub it with some honey, or use green ointment, cooling oil or other blood-activating and blood-stasis-dispersing medicines, or you can apply a hot towel to accelerate blood circulation and speed up the reduction of swelling.

Once you are stung by a bee, clean the wound with warm water, soapy water, or salt water or sugar water. If there is any stinger left in the wound, it should be removed immediately. You can apply linseed oil, safflower oil, green ointment, etc. You can also mash and chew ginger, garlic, purslane (a wild vegetable) and apply it to the wound. If you experience symptoms such as headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, irritability, fever, etc., you should go to the hospital for treatment immediately.

After being stung by a bee, in mild cases, the injured area will have erythema, papules or urticaria with ecchymosis in the center, and there will be a burning sensation and stinging pain. If there are no symptoms 20 minutes after the sting, you can rest assured.

Suggestions: First, it is recommended to use ammonia or 75% alcohol cotton balls for local disinfection, then squeeze out the venom or pull out the stinger. In addition, anti-allergic treatment should be given, and local application of fluocinolone cream can be tried

Bee stings should generally be treated by picking them out immediately with a needle, or by applying tape and then peeling them off. Avoid using pliers to prevent more toxin absorption due to squeezing the venom sac.

Suggestions: Immediately flush with clean water, saline, or urine, or apply tincture of iodine externally after the injury; apply vinegar to the sting several times a day until the redness and swelling subside; you can also apply Ji Desheng snake medicine tablets, antibiotics, and hormone ointments externally.
