What can I use to wash jade to make it transparent

Jade is an accessory. Many people like to wear jade. When wearing jade, you should pay attention to warming it. Jade will generally undergo some subtle changes with the changes in the wearing environment. Different environments will also cause certain changes. For example, in the southern region, the temperature and humidity are relatively high, and it becomes more and more delicate at this time. When collecting jade, you should pay attention to maintenance. Do not expose it to the sun, and give the jade a warm and humid environment.

In fact, this has something to do with the environment in which the jade is located. The air in the south is highly humid and contains a lot of water vapor, so jade loses water much more slowly than in the north. It is also related to how it is worn on the human body. During long-term wearing, jade will slowly absorb human body oils under the influence of human body temperature and some oils secreted by the human body. Over time, the jade will become more and more smooth and shiny, and even some internal structures and textures will change. This is what people often say, "people raise jade."

When collecting jade, you must pay attention to its maintenance and remember not to expose it to the sun. The best way to maintain it is to wear it on your body, either close to the skin or through clothes. This is called "people nurturing jade." It is to place the jade in a relatively warm and humid small environment. The human body is the best and most ideal "equipment". The constant temperature of the human body and the slightly acidic water vapor and oil stains emitted will penetrate through the pores of the crystal gaps and replenish the water vapor lost by the jade, thereby nourishing the jade, making it moist and gradually becoming transparent.

If you don't wear jade jewelry for a long time, you can take it out every once in a while and soak it in a basin of clean water for a few days, then wipe it clean with cotton cloth and repack it in a small bag. This will help retain the moisture in the jade! It will not cause the loss of moisture inside the jade due to long-term non-wearing, causing it to dry out and produce fine dry lines.

How to nurture jade

1. For newly bought jade ornaments, first soak them in clean water at room temperature for 2-3 hours (until the surface attachments soften), then scrub them clean with a toothbrush, and then soak them in hot water (about 70-80 degrees for new jade) until the hot water and jade cool down naturally. I usually place them in a warm place with no air circulation to allow the hot water to cool down slowly. This also allows the pores of the jade to fully expand and expel the dirt inside. Repeat this process for about three cycles, then do it about once every three to six months, and once every one to two months in the summer.

2. Avoid collision with hard objects. Although jade is very hard, it is easy to crack after a collision. Sometimes, although cracks can be seen with the naked eye, the molecular structure within the surface of the jade has been destroyed and hidden cracks appear, which greatly damages its perfection and economic value.

3. Avoid dust as much as possible. If there is dust on jade in daily life, it is advisable to clean it with a soft-bristled brush; if there is dirt or oil stains on the jade surface, it should be brushed with warm soapy water and then rinsed with clean water. Avoid using chemical degreasing agents.

4. Try to avoid contact with perfume, chemical liquids, soap and human sweat. If jade comes into contact with too much sweat, it will be corroded, causing damage to the outer layer and affecting its original brightness. Especially "glass-ground" jadeite and mutton-fat white jade, which are more sensitive to sweat and oil. Many people think that the more jade comes into contact with the human body and is moistened by sweat, the better it will be. In fact, this is a big misunderstanding. Jade itself is crystal clear and does not require any additional methods. There is no way to make it more transparent. If mutton-fat white jade comes into contact with sweat too much, it will easily turn light yellow and no longer be as pure white as fat.
