How to get rid of mites in quilts

How to get rid of mites in quilts

It can be said that mites are everywhere in life, on our faces, on quilts, in the air, and the harm they bring to people cannot be ignored. There are mites on our quilts that are invisible to our naked eyes. They will attach to our skin when we come into contact with the quilt and cause us various harms. Removing mites from quilts has become something we cannot neglect.

The most dangerous thing is the bed

1. The bed is the most suitable nest for mites to grow and reproduce.

2. People spend at least 7 to 8 hours a day in bed, and these beddings have the most direct contact with human skin, which provides an excellent opportunity for mites to invade!

3. Because mites like moisture and are afraid of light, the dark environment at night when sleeping plus a big piece of food like "you" is the best time for mites to forage and move!

Tips for removing mites from quilts

1. Clean once a week: One way to get rid of mites is to ensure that there is no other dirt on the quilt that provides conditions for the mites to breed. Therefore, if conditions permit, clean the quilt cover or pillowcase once a week.

2. Use sulfur soap: Sulfur soap has a very strong ability to kill mites. Dilute the sulfur soap and put it into the washing machine, and then add laundry detergent to effectively remove mites.

3. Exposure: The sun is the natural enemy of mites, so the quilt should be exposed to sunlight regularly to kill the mites.

4. Change into pajamas before going to bed: When we go out, we are actually already contaminated with a lot of dust and mites. If we go directly to bed, we will undoubtedly bring the mites back into the quilt. You should have a set of home clothes at home and change into them as soon as you get home.

5. Ventilate the room frequently: A humid environment is a breeding ground for mites, so ventilate the room more often and keep the air flowing, which will help inhibit the breeding of mites.

6. Kill mites with vinegar + hot water: Small items like pillowcases can be effectively killed by mixing vinegar and hot water. In addition, they should be dried in the sun instead of air-dried after washing.

Precautions

Mites are more common during the transition from autumn to winter, so you should be very careful during this period.

Getting rid of mites is a long-term process. All quilt covers and pillowcases should be washed regularly, and do not store too much food.
