Tips for removing rust from clothes

In daily life, there are always some small accidents that make me feel troubled. Many times, rust stains will appear on clothes due to carelessness. Although such situation is relatively rare, when white clothes are stained with rust, it will be particularly obvious and not easy to clean. At this time, if you want to remove these rust stains, you need some small methods.

Acetic acid rust removal method

You can soak it in 1% warm oxalic acid solution and then rinse it with clean water. You can also wipe the stains with a 15% acetic acid solution or soak the stained part in the solution, and rinse it with clean water the next day.

Lemonade removal method

Moisten the dirty area with 10% citric acid aqueous solution or 10% oxalic acid aqueous solution, then soak it in concentrated salt water, and wash it with clean water the next day.

Oxalic acid rust removal method

If white pure cotton or cotton blended fabric is stained with rust, put a grain of oxalic acid on the stain, moisten it with warm water, rub it gently, and then rinse it with clean water. During operation, in order to prevent oxalic acid from corroding the fabric, the operation must be quick. You can also drop fresh lemon juice on the rust stains, rub it with your hands, repeat several times until the rust stains are removed, then wash with detergent and rinse with clean water.

Yogurt Rust Removal Method

First soak the rust with water, then apply yogurt, then apply soap, and then wash it clean.

Toothpaste Rust Removal Method

When clothes are stained with rust, squeeze some toothpaste on the rusty area, rub it gently several times, and then scrub it with clean water. The rust will be removed.

Vitamin C tablets

Depending on the degree of rust stains on clothes, take out several vitamin C tablets, grind them into powder, and sprinkle them on the rusted areas of wet clothes. After they are fully soaked, rub them vigorously several times to remove the rust stains.

Clothes rust remover

For rust stains on clothes, if there are not many, you can use clothing rust remover to remove them. Spray the remover evenly on the stained area, leave it on the clothes for 3-5 minutes, rub it repeatedly, and then rinse it with clean water several times until the stain is removed. Note that the amount of rust remover should be determined according to the amount of dirt. Too much or too little is not good.

Disinfectant

You can also use disinfectant, but it is only limited to white clothes. Other colors may be damaged. Drop disinfectant on the rust, rub it with your hands, the rust can be washed off, and then rinse it. The above methods can all solve the rust on clothes.

Sodium sulfite

Dissolve 1 part of sodium sulfite in 100 parts of water and use it to wash clothes to remove rust.

Orange peel

Put orange peels in a pot, add water and boil them. Put the clothes with rust on them into the pot and rub them. The clothes will soon be clean again. (This usage is only for white clothes)
