What is anaerobic exercise?

Exercise has become the most important thing in modern life and has received more and more attention from people, because exercise can bring many benefits to the body, relieve people's stress in a timely manner, and increase the beauty of the body shape. There are two main types of exercise, one is anaerobic exercise and the other is aerobic exercise. Let’s take a look at what anaerobic exercise is.

1. Anaerobic exercise:

Anaerobic exercise is derived from the classification of the metabolic process of skeletal muscles during human exercise. The concept of anaerobic exercise has also evolved based on the anaerobic metabolic energy supply system. For example, anaerobic exercise refers to the movement of human muscles under the anaerobic energy supply metabolic state. Most anaerobic exercises are high-intensity and instantaneous, so they are difficult to sustain for a long time and fatigue is eliminated slowly.

Anaerobic exercise is relative to aerobic exercise. During exercise, the body's metabolism is accelerated, and accelerated metabolism requires more energy. The human body's energy is obtained through the metabolism of sugar, protein and fat in the body. When the amount of exercise is not large, such as jogging, dancing, etc., the body's energy supply mainly comes from the aerobic metabolism of sugar.

Exercise that uses aerobic metabolism of sugar as the main source of energy is what we call aerobic exercise. When we engage in very intense or rapid sports, such as weightlifting, 100-meter sprint, wrestling, etc., the body needs a large amount of energy in an instant. Under normal circumstances, aerobic metabolism cannot meet the body's needs at this time, so sugar undergoes anaerobic metabolism to quickly produce a large amount of energy. Exercise in this state is anaerobic exercise.

2. Aerobic exercise:

Aerobic exercise, also called aerobic metabolic exercise, refers to physical exercise performed by the human body with adequate oxygen supply. The benefits of aerobic exercise are: it can increase oxygen intake and better consume excess calories in the body. That is to say, during exercise, the amount of oxygen inhaled by the human body is equal to its demand, reaching a state of physiological balance. Therefore, it is characterized by low intensity, rhythm and long duration. Each exercise should last no less than 1 hour and should be done 3 to 5 times a week. Through this kind of exercise, oxygen can fully break down sugar in the body, consume body fat, enhance and improve cardiopulmonary function, prevent osteoporosis, and regulate psychological and mental state. It is the main form of exercise for fitness.
