What's the matter with my purple hair

What's the matter with my purple hair

There are different reasons for a purple tongue, some are due to blood stasis, and some are just cyanotic tongue. Some women develop purple tongue due to irregular menstruation, and some are born with purple tongue. People with blood stasis in their bodies experience poor blood circulation and local blood flow stagnation. Some people bite their tongue while eating, which may touch the blood vessels on the tongue and cause bruises, which can also cause the tongue to turn purple. If the condition is serious, you need to go to the hospital for further examination in time.

The tongue has a close relationship with the internal organs. When the internal organs are diseased, it can be manifested in the tongue quality, tongue coating, and tongue shape. Children's pulse is affected by many factors, with greater fluctuations and less reliability. Many pediatric diseases are often reflected in the tongue. Since the tongue is not affected by tobacco and alcohol, observing the changes in the child's tongue is more reliable than taking the pulse. There are three aspects to observe changes in the tongue, namely tongue coating, tongue quality and tongue shape. The tongue coating of a normal child is thin, white and moist.

★When there is stomach disease caused by indigestion, food accumulation, cough and phlegm, the tongue coating will become thick and greasy;

★When a child catches a cold, a thick layer of white coating will appear on the tongue in the early stages of the cold. As a cold develops, the tongue coating will turn yellow, indicating that the heat is more obvious;

★ When children are dehydrated due to diarrhea or have a persistent high fever, a dry tongue coating will appear;

★Some allergic diseases may cause a map-like tongue coating or peeling tongue coating;

★If you find white spots on your child's tongue and lips, it may be that the child has worms in his stomach;

★Black tongue coating that is dry and looks like cracked river bottom often appears in seriously ill children with long-term high fever. However, the tongue coating can sometimes have "false appearances". For example, the tongue coating may be white after drinking milk, yellow after eating oranges, and a terrible black after eating olives, and so on. Parents don't need to panic. The tongue of a normal child is moist and light red.

★Children with anemia and leukemia will have a pale tongue due to a significant decrease in hemoglobin. Severe diarrhea accompanied by dehydration or severe illness with high fever will cause the tongue to turn red with thorns.

★After a serious illness, some children suffer from yin damage, and the surface of their tongue becomes dry and red, feeling like the surface of pig kidneys, which is called mirror tongue in traditional Chinese medicine; ★The tongue is purple or has purple patches. This is due to problems with blood circulation and lack of oxygen in the body. It is more common in neonatal asphyxia and congenital cyanotic heart disease. Children with normal tongue shape have flexible tongue movements.

★When the tongue is stiff and limited in movement, it indicates that there is phlegm obstruction, which is often seen in the sequelae of encephalitis;

★Tongue tremors and retractions are common in patients with cerebral dysplasia;

★ External deviation of the tongue is caused by wind evil invading the meridians, which is often seen in cerebrovascular accidents;

★The tongue often protrudes outward and does not retract for a long time, which is often seen in cretinism caused by hypothyroidism;

★The tongue is repeatedly extended to lick the lips and then retracted, which is called tongue flirting and is common in congenital idiocy. During the course of the disease, the dynamic changes of the child's tongue should be observed

★The tongue changes from light red to crimson, which means the heat syndrome progresses from shallow to deep.

★The tongue coating changes from white to yellow, which means the cold syndrome turns into heat syndrome;

★The tongue coating changes from yellow to gray, indicating that the condition is getting worse;

★The tongue coating gradually appears, indicating that the digestive function is gradually recovering;

★The tongue coating turns from thin to thick, indicating indigestion.
