Why does my back hurt so much?

Back pain is a common phenomenon. Many people suffer from back pain at ordinary times. If the back catches a cold, it is easy to cause back pain. At this time, you can use hot compresses to relieve the pain. If hot compresses cannot relieve the pain, it is likely that the back pain is caused by an illness. At this time, it is best to go to the hospital as soon as possible to find out the cause. After the disease is diagnosed, use medication under the guidance of a doctor. It is best not to take medication privately.

Ways to relieve back pain

Doing yoga can relieve back pain. Yoga can not only calm the mind and lose weight, but the stretching movements can also relieve back pain. If you do yoga at least once a week for 40-90 minutes each time for three months, your back pain will improve. The effects of yoga are good and healthy, far better than taking medicine or physical therapy. Stretching is just as effective as yoga for treating back pain, but the main areas of the body that are worked are the torso and legs.

Massage your back to relieve pain. Each acupoint can be massaged for 10 minutes each time. The specific number of times a day can be determined according to the relief situation. If the back pain is severe, do it 3 or 4 times a day. If it is less severe, do it twice a day. Massaging the Xinshu, Dushu and Geshu points on the upper back can help stimulate the lungs and heart, as well as regulate blood circulation, relax the stomach and soothe the stomach. Massaging the liver, gallbladder, and spleen points on the lower back can stimulate the liver, gallbladder, strengthen the spleen, harmonize the stomach, and eliminate dampness.

Standing against a wall can increase back muscle strength to relieve back pain. Stand up straight with your back against a wall, and bring your shoulder blades on both sides as close to the wall as possible. Do this for about 3 minutes each time. This will help increase muscle strength and help prevent and relieve back pain.

Relaxing, reducing stress, and maintaining mental health are also associated with avoiding back pain. When people are anxious, the body goes into a “fight or flight” response, which causes muscles to tense and prepare for action, so people who are nervous and stressed are more likely to experience back pain.
