Can breast milk be heated with boiling water

Modern young people are under a lot of pressure. Most women need to go to work during pregnancy and after giving birth. Especially many women choose to go to work after giving birth. However, they need to breastfeed their babies. Working mothers can only express breast milk by pumping it out. Before going to work every time, they will squeeze out the breast milk and freeze it in the refrigerator. When the baby is hungry, they can directly warm it up and feed it to the baby. It is very convenient.

Can breast milk be heated with boiling water?

1. Store breast milk in the refrigerator. Refrigerate below 5 degrees Celsius and the shelf life is 24 hours. It can be frozen for 7 days.

2. Breast milk that has been thawed after being frozen cannot be refrozen and can only be refrigerated. Once refrigerated breast milk has been warmed up, it cannot be refrigerated again even if it has not been fed and must be discarded.

3. Before feeding, do not use a microwave to heat the milk, as the temperature will be uneven and may scald the baby. Heating or boiling breast milk directly over fire will destroy its nutrients. Therefore, the best way is to heat it with hot water not exceeding 50 degrees Celsius.

How to store breast milk?

1. Express the breast milk into a breast milk collection bag the day before going to work or before going to work, and store it. You can freeze or refrigerate it, and give it to the nanny when you send your baby to her home.

2. When you are at work, you can place the expressed breast milk in a cool place, and when the temperature is close to room temperature, you can put it in the refrigerator or ice bucket. If the above storage items are not available, you can put an appropriate amount of ice cubes in the thermos before going to work. When the bottle has become cold, you can pour out the ice cubes and the thermos will have a cooling effect.

3. You can store breast milk in glass, hard and clear plastic jars or breast milk bags, but the above containers must be clean breast milk bags and cannot be reused to prevent bacteria from growing and making your baby's stomach sick. In addition, expressed breast milk needs to be stored in a refrigerator or insulated container.

It is not easy to be a mother who pumps milk from a breast pump. During work, you will always get strange looks from your colleagues because of the noise made by using a breast pump to suck out milk. Take the baby back home as soon as you get off work.
