Effects of compound electrolyte injection

Effects of compound electrolyte injection

Compound electrolyte injection is a water and electrolyte supplement. It is a colorless, clear liquid that can blend with the blood in the human body. Therefore, when patients receive an infusion, some drugs will be diluted in this substance. At this time, compound electrolyte injection is a diluent. Compound electrolyte injection is also used in some surgeries. This substance plays a certain role in maintaining the balance of body functions.

Effects of compound electrolyte injection

Compound electrolyte injection can be used as a supplementary source of water and electrolytes and as an alkalizing agent. This product is compatible with blood and blood components and can be infused before or after blood transfusion (i.e. as a priming solution) using the same administration device, can be added to blood components being infused, or used as a diluent for blood cells.

Instructions for use:

This product is a double-layer sterilized package with inner and outer bags. When using, tear it open vertically along the incision of the outer bag. Intravenous drip (sterile operation, see the instructions on the packaging bag for details): The dosage depends on the patient's age, weight, clinical symptoms and laboratory test results, and should be followed by the doctor.

Adverse Reactions

During infusion, febrile reactions, local infection at the injection site, venous thrombosis, phlebitis, fluid extravasation and excessive circulating blood volume may occur due to the solution or operation. If any adverse reaction occurs, the infusion should be stopped immediately and the patient should be evaluated to develop an appropriate treatment plan. If necessary, save remaining solution for testing.

Precautions

1. Use with caution in patients with heart, liver, or kidney dysfunction, hyperkalemia, hypernatremia, or metabolic or respiratory alkali poisoning.

2 Intravenous infusion of compound electrolyte injection may cause excess fluid and/or solute, leading to decreased serum electrolyte concentrations, excess body water, congestion, and pulmonary edema.

3 For patients who require long-term injection treatment, changes in their fluid balance, electrolyte balance, and acid-base balance must be monitored based on clinical symptoms and regular laboratory tests.

4 Use with caution in patients receiving steroid hormones or adrenocorticotropic hormone therapy.

5. It can only be used when the liquid medicine is clear and well sealed.

6 Follow the doctor's instructions, add the medicine using sterile technique and mix thoroughly.

7 Adding drugs may cause incompatibility. Complete information is not available at this time. Additives with known incompatibility should not be used. If possible, consult a pharmacist.
