Compound aminopyrine injection

Compound aminopyrine injection is a Western medicine injection preparation and a prescription drug. You must consult a doctor before using it and use it under the doctor's orders. The main function of compound aminopyrine injection is to relieve fever and relieve pain, and the effect is quite obvious, especially when some acute fever needs to be reduced quickly. It seems to be generally used by intramuscular injection.

Indications

It is mainly used for emergency fever reduction during acute high fever, and can also relieve headache symptoms during fever.

Dosage

Intramuscular injection. Adults: 2 ml at a time, or as directed by a doctor. The maximum dose under supervision is 6 ml per day. Under 2 years old: 0.5-1 ml each time; 2-5 years old: 1-2 ml each time; over 5 years old: 2 ml each time. This product should not be used continuously.

Precautions

1. Before intramuscular injection, the patient should be asked whether he has a history of allergy to pyrazolones or barbiturates. Those with a history of allergy should avoid using this product, and those with allergic constitutions should also use it with caution.

2. Do not mix with other drugs for injection.

3. Long-term use may cause severe poisoning reactions such as granulocytopenia, aplastic anemia, and liver and kidney damage.

4. People with severe respiratory diseases or breathing difficulties should use this product with caution.

5. Use with caution in weak patients.

6. This product is only for symptomatic treatment. After the high fever symptoms are relieved, the cause should be treated. When this product has no obvious effect, other methods of treatment should be used to avoid blindly using this product in large quantities.

7. It is easy to crystallize when it is cold, but it can be dissolved when it is slightly warm and can still be used.

Adverse Reactions

1. Anaphylactic shock, manifested by symptoms such as chest tightness, dizziness, nausea and vomiting, low blood pressure, and profuse sweating, should be stopped immediately and emergency treatment should be sought.

2. Granulocytopenia, purpura, sometimes acute onset.

3. Skin rash, urticaria, epidermolysis, etc.

Drug interactions

1. Barbiturates have the effect of inhibiting the respiratory center and have a reinforcing effect on drugs that can inhibit respiration, such as gentamicin sulfate, so their simultaneous use should be prohibited.

2. Antipyretic and analgesic drugs. It has an antipyretic effect by inhibiting the synthesis and release of PG, and has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects by inhibiting the synthesis of PGE. When used together with barbiturates, the analgesic effect can be greatly enhanced.
