Why do I become ugly when I take a photo

I believe that most people have met such people in their lives. They look very good and delicate in real life, but once they are photographed, they become ugly, or even like a completely different person. Especially when this happens to oneself, many people find it difficult to accept it, because no matter how many photos they take, there is not a single photo that they like. So why do some people become ugly when they take a photo?

1. Facial Proportions

First of all, facial proportions are very important, and it is not the case that the thinner the face, the better looking it is. There are thousands of standards for a beautiful face. In addition to the familiar three-part and five-eye, Marquardt mask, and side profile of the face, the editor has discovered a new standard for a beautiful face - the beauty line!

The beauty of the face is determined by the golden ratio.

Ratio 1: When your face faces forward, the ratio from the center of the eyebrows to the tip of the nose and from the tip of the nose to the chin is 1:0.9.

Ratio 2: The distance from the tip of the nose to the lip seam is 1/3 of the distance from the lip seam to the chin.

2. Nose

The nose, as the king of facial features, must be straight enough! Whether it is the side or the front, it is of utmost importance. A good-looking nose is definitely not an internet celebrity nose. A beautiful nose should not only be integrated with other facial features, but also the lines and curvature must be natural.

Viewed from the front: the length of the nose should be 1/3 of the length of the face, and the width of the nose should be 1/5 of the width of the face (equivalent to the width of one eye), which is what we often call "three sections and five eyes".

Viewed from the side: The standard nasofrontal angle should be around 120-135°, and the angle between the nose and upper lip should be around 90°.

Looking up: The height of the nose tip is about 1/2 of the entire nose length, and the nostrils are symmetrical and teardrop-shaped.

Most Asians have problems with their noses, such as a large nose tip, wide nose wings, and a low nose bridge. Many people change their noses through micro-surgery to achieve the effect of improving the overall beauty of the face.

3. Eyes

A pair of big eyes is also a necessary condition for being photogenic. Movies like to use close-ups and the screens in cinemas are wide, so the eyes must be bright! And many expressions really require relatively large eyes to control.
