What should I do if my muscles hurt after stretching

Now more and more people are beginning to pay attention to their bodies. Many people will do some moderate exercise regularly in order to have a healthy body. Many women prefer to practice yoga at home. Yoga is a form of exercise introduced from Thailand. It mainly stretches the body through various movements to exercise body flexibility. Some women may stretch without the guidance of an instructor. What should they do if the stretching hurts?

1. How to relieve stretching after exercise during menstruation

1. Arm exercise to increase muscle strength

This exercise can increase the elasticity of the shoulder and neck muscles and strengthen the muscles. It includes three movements.

Action 1: Cross your fingers, stretch your arms forward with your palms facing outwards, lower your head, and arch your back backwards. Try to stretch your arms as far away from your body as possible. Stay for five seconds and then relax. Repeat five times.

Action 2: Clasp your hands behind your back, lift your arms up, and feel the muscles around your shoulder blades (i.e. upper back muscles) exert force. Stay for five seconds and repeat five times.

Action three: Clasp your hands behind your neck, first use your left hand to pull your right hand to your left ear, until you feel a pulling sensation on your chest, stay for five seconds, then use your right hand to pull your left hand to your right ear, using the same method as before, repeat five times.

2. Stretching exercises to relax your shoulders and neck

According to experts, this method can relax the shoulder and neck muscles and promote blood circulation.

Action 1: Neck rotation. Sit on a chair or stand upright, relax your upper body, straighten your neck, and keep your head still. When you feel your neck stretched to the maximum, stay for five seconds. Slowly rotate your neck to the left to the maximum. When you feel the right neck muscles being pulled, stay for five seconds, slowly return to the original position, stay for five seconds, then rotate your neck to the right in the same way, and flex and extend your neck. Don't do it too fast. Repeat three times.

Action 2: Shoulder rotation. Let your hands hang naturally, relax your shoulder muscles, keep your head still, shrug your shoulders, and use your shoulders as the center of the circle to circle forward five times, then circle backward five times, and repeat five times.

3. Acupoint massage to dredge meridians

Experts say that massaging acupoints can regulate qi and blood, dredge meridians and relieve pain. Here we introduce the massage methods of Fengchi and Jianjing acupoints.

Press and rub the Jian Jing acupoint: The Jian Jing acupoint is mainly used to treat neck pain, shoulder and back pain, upper limb weakness, etc. When massaging the Jianjing acupoint, first press the index finger of your left hand on the middle finger, and massage the Jianjing acupoint on the right side for five minutes. Then use your right hand to massage the Jianjing acupoint on the left side for five minutes. The force should be even, and it is best when a local soreness and swelling feeling appears on the acupoint. Once a day, morning and evening.

Press and rub Fengchi point: Fengchi point is mainly used to treat neck pain, headache, dizziness, tinnitus, etc. When massaging the Fengchi point, place both hands behind your ears and use the tips of your thumbs to massage the point for ten seconds. Rest for five seconds. Continue massaging with both hands for three minutes. Be even and forceful until you feel a local soreness and swelling at the point. Do this once every morning and evening.
