How to wash grapes clean

Grapes are very popular in our daily life because they are a unique fruit. Not only do they look very pleasing, but they also taste sweet and sour and have a unique flavor. Although grapes are delicious, they are very difficult to clean. For example, it is particularly easy for stains to be mixed between grape grains, which poses a challenge to their edibility. Let’s take a look at how to wash grapes.

Method 1:

1. When washing grapes, use scissors to carefully cut the junction of the stem and the fruit. Do not cut the skin (breaking the skin will easily contaminate the flesh), and do not leave a small piece of stem outside the fruit (grapes with stems are not only difficult to wash, but also easy to pierce the skin of other grapes). If there are rotten grapes, pick them out first.

2. Never pull out the stem, otherwise it will leave a hole and the flesh will easily rot.

3. After pruning the branches, you can see that the junction with the grapes is smooth and complete. If you use the stem pulling method, the fibers of the fruit will be pulled out, damaging the grapes.

4. The white layer on the grape skin may be fruit frost, but it may also contain pesticide residues, spider silk, dust, etc. It must be washed before eating (especially when made into juice). Squeeze some toothpaste on your hands, rub your hands together, and then gently wash the grapes.

5. The grapes must be washed quickly (within five minutes) to prevent them from absorbing water and bursting, which may cause them to rot. Pour out the dirty water and rinse with clean water.

6. Take a clean towel, pour the grapes into it and roll them several times to absorb the water on the surface of the grapes.

7. Pour the grapes into a dry bowl and put it in the refrigerator. They can be eaten at any time and can be stored for 2-3 days.

Method 2:

1. Use salt: After picking the grapes, put them in a basin, add water, then add a little salt, rub them gently with your hands, and finally rinse them with clean water. Salt has a bactericidal effect and can also serve as a friction on the surface of the grapes.

2. Use flour: Put some flour in water, soak the grapes for a few minutes, and then rinse them slightly with clean water to ensure that each grape is crystal clear.
