Once muscle memory is formed, it is difficult to forget it even after decades. A biologist once did a study and found that if a professional badminton player re-trains 20 years after retiring (and he has not engaged in badminton-related work in these 20 years), the training time will be 40% less than those who have never trained badminton.

So, how can you develop your muscle memory? First of all, you should follow a training plan of 30 minutes of training and then 48 hours of recovery. With such regular training, your muscles will be cultivated and slowly remember what they have learned, and they will never be forgotten.

Secondly, instruments like guitar and piano are good for training muscle memory. Anyone who has learned these musical instruments will find that when they first start learning a score, there is always a problem of poor coordination between their brain and hands, and they always play the music wrong when they see the score. However, when you continue to practice the score until you are very familiar with it, you no longer need to look at the score and can play the entire score relying solely on your muscle memory.
