White spots on the calves

White spots on the calves

The growth of white spots on the calves is a very common phenomenon in life. The small white spots will not only make the skin rougher, especially in summer, but also make it impossible to wear skirts or shorts, which greatly affects people's image. In fact, the growth of white spots on the calves may be caused by skin diseases. Everyone must pay attention to it and seek treatment in time. Never scratch it with your hands to avoid infection.

What are the white spots on my calves?

1. The pores on the thighs are coarse and have small bumps, and they feel very rough to the touch. This is due to excessive keratinization of the hair follicle openings.

2. In autumn and winter, the skin on your legs will become dry and flaky. This is a common phenomenon and is not unique to you. You can reduce the frequency and duration of your baths appropriately, because there are fewer sebaceous glands on the skin of your legs. Using hot water and soap to remove the oil on the skin will make the skin of your legs appear drier.

Note: Do not squeeze the white spots on your legs

Many people think that the white spots on their calves are unsightly and seriously affect their mood, so they think of squeezing out the white spots on their legs with their hands. This method is not advisable. If you squeeze the white spots on your calves, it may cause infection and inflammation, which will not only aggravate the symptoms of the white spots on your legs and calves, but also cause other skin diseases.

What are the examination items for leukoplakia?

1. Blood examination shows that the blood pH value of patients with vitiligo is slightly lower than that of normal people. Most patients with vitiligo have anemia, leukopenia and thrombocytopenia in blood routine tests. 2. Immune examination: There are many autoantibodies in the serum of vitiligo patients, including thyroglobulin, anti-thyroid microsomes, anti-gastric parietal cells, anti-adrenaline, anti-smooth muscle, anti-myocardium, anti-insulin, anti-platelet and anti-nuclear antibodies. The discovery of anti-melanocyte surface protein antibodies in the serum of vitiligo patients is of great significance to this disease. 3. Trace element examination shows that vitiligo patients are closely related to low copper. The patient's serum copper oxidase activity was decreased, serum monoamine oxidase was increased, and serum ceruloplasmin was increased. 4. Wood lamp inspection Wood lamp is very helpful in judging subtle differences in pigmentation. Melanin absorbs ultraviolet rays across the entire band. If the melanin content is reduced, the refraction will be strong and the color will appear lighter. When melanin increases, the refraction becomes weaker and the color appears darker. 5. Histopathological examination is performed to determine whether melanocytes are present, especially melanocytes that are positive for dihydroxyphenylalanine (DOPA), as a reference for estimating the therapeutic effect. Some patients have immunoglobulin G or (C3) deposits in the basement membrane zone and immunoglobulin G or complement (C3) deposits in keratinocytes.
