There are several possibilities for active bone metabolism

Bones are very important to the human body. If there is a lack of calcium, the bones are likely to have problems and even affect a person's height, bone density, etc. The normal metabolic function of bones can promote cell generation. We all know that red blood cells are hematopoietic stem cells, so bone metabolism also indirectly plays a role in the normal operation of human blood. When bone metabolism is abnormal, it will also lead to diseases such as bone necrosis and osteoporosis.

Bone metabolism, bone cells are constantly undergoing cell metabolism, not only do bone cells interact with each other, but there is also interaction between erythropoietic cells and matrix cells in the bone marrow to carry out bone remodeling and reconstruction.

The function of bones is to provide attachment points for muscle contraction and to protect important vital organs such as internal organs. There are two types of cells that play an important role in bone metabolism, one is osteoclasts that absorb bone matrix, and the other is osteoblasts that synthesize bone matrix. The two are distributed in the periosteum, trabeculae and cortical bone. The site where two cells interact is called a basic multicellular unit. In each basic multicellular unit, bone can be lost due to resorption by osteoclasts or replaced by osteoblasts that synthesize new bone. Some osteoblasts are incorporated into the bone matrix and become osteocytes.

At present, bone metabolism has prominent advantages in osteoporosis, arthritis, and rheumatoid arthritis, especially in femoral head necrosis. It is an important supplement to the clinical theory of locating blood circulation and locating bone growth. Since femoral head necrosis is often a small part of the femoral head tissue, the metabolism of the surrounding normal femoral head tissue is often affected to varying degrees, resulting in the characteristics of late disease recovery and recurrence. Regulating bone metabolism while treating femoral head necrosis can not only increase the treatment speed but also prevent the chance of recurrence.

Active bone metabolism does not necessarily mean bone metastasis, it may also be due to tuberculosis, inflammation, etc.
