Spanking to treat mental illness

I believe that everyone was naughty when they were young, because being naughty is the nature of many children. Therefore, most parents will spank their children on the buttocks when they are naughty and cannot be controlled, because the flesh on the buttocks is thicker and firmer, and it is not easy to cause diseases. However, as the prevalence of mental illness among modern people is getting higher and higher, there are more and more methods to treat mental illness. One of them is spanking. So how does spanking treat mental illness?

As the saying goes, "If you don't beat your child for three days, he will go crazy." Many parents use corporal punishment on their children. However, with the development of society, many people will reflect on whether corporal punishment is really useful. The answer to this question may be found in a mental hospital in Russia, where doctors use canes to whip patients' buttocks, and it is said to be very effective. Anna Zenova was the first doctor to start this unique treatment. She has been practicing medicine for more than 30 years and has a wealth of clinical experience. Anna said that many patients have addictive behaviors that are difficult to correct, so they will use "whipping therapy" on the patients.

Whipping therapy seems simple and crude. The doctor will let the patient lie on the bed and then use one or two canes to whip the patient's buttocks. The whipping therapy will last for half an hour, and each treatment usually involves about thirty whippings.

Before performing whipping therapy, the doctor will confirm the patient's condition and assess whether it is suitable for whipping therapy. And the patient will sign an informed consent form to make it clear that the patient is willing to be whipped and that resources will be used for whipping treatment. Those who perform whipping therapy have all received professional training and are able to control the strength so as not to injure the patient. If the patient expresses discomfort during the treatment, the treatment will be stopped immediately.

Doctors at the hospital said that although whipping therapy may seem simple and crude, it actually has scientific basis. The pain caused by the beating will make the patient aware of the harm of addiction psychology, and the next time the disease recurs, there will be a conditioned reflex of pain. Moreover, during the whipping process, the brain will secrete a chemical substance called endorphin, which is very effective in helping people quit addiction. The hospital receives a large number of patients who are spanked every day, and many of them are indeed cured of their mental illnesses. Although spanking with a cane may seem absurd, it seems that there may actually be some scientific basis and therapeutic effect.
