What to do if you can't sleep after drinking too much tea

We all know that tea contains a special substance that can excite the human body. So many people will make a pot of hot tea when they stay up late at night. So people usually choose to drink tea in the afternoon. Few people drink tea at night, because drinking tea at night can easily lead to insomnia. Some substances such as coffee and cocoa can also easily excite people. So what should you do if you can't sleep after drinking too much tea?

The caffeine in tea can excite your nerves and make it difficult to fall asleep. It's not just tea, coffee, Coca-Cola, etc. are similar. Everyone has different adaptability. I no longer make fresh tea in the afternoon. I can only drink the tea I made in the morning, just adding water, otherwise I won’t be able to sleep at night.

Just don't drink it before bed.

It is more appropriate to drink tea 1-2 times a day, 2-3 grams each time. Avoid drinking strong tea on an empty stomach, while taking medicine or before going to bed.

In addition: 9 things to note when drinking tea:

There are three categories of tea in my country: green tea, black tea and scented tea. Tea contains tea polyphenols, which have the functions of protecting capillaries, inhibiting atherosclerosis, reducing the incidence of hypertension and coronary heart disease, killing bacteria and antibacterial, resisting radiation damage, and inhibiting the activity of cancer cells. It is a health drink. Drinking tea has a long history in my country and has formed a culture with profound connotations.

When drinking tea, remember:

1) Do not put water in first and then tea leaves. Instead, put tea leaves in first and then brew with boiling water.

2) Do not use freshly boiled water, because the water temperature is too high, which will break the tender tea leaves, destroy the nutrients in the tea leaves, and cause some ingredients to evaporate.

3) Do not fill the cup at once. Instead, pull it up and down three times, high and low, which is called "Phoenix Three Nods". This allows the tea leaves to absorb water evenly in the cup, which is beneficial for the tea leaves to show color, penetrate fragrance and release flavor.

Phoenix nodded three times:

The brewing process is extremely particular. It should be poured at a high speed, with the water flow hitting the tea leaves to make them emit tea fragrance. Also, use the strength of the wrist to lift the kettle from top to bottom repeatedly three times. This action is called "Phoenix Three Nods".

4) Do not drink tea before going to bed, as it will cause insomnia.

5) A cup of tea can be brewed up to three times. Judging from the degree of dissolution of vitamins and amino acids contained in tea leaves, 55% was dissolved the first time, 30% was dissolved the second time, and about 10% was dissolved the third time. If it is used more than three times, the taste will become bland and insoluble harmful substances will leach out.

6) It is not advisable to drink black tea in hot weather. Because black tea is warm, it is suitable for drinking in winter. Green tea is bitter and cold in nature, with green leaves and clear soup, which has a cooling effect. It is rich in amino acids and can relieve heat and reduce body temperature.

7) Do not drink tea on an empty stomach. Because an empty stomach contains a large amount of stomach acid, tea can dilute the gastric juice and reduce digestive function.

8) It is not advisable to drink tea after eating meat. Because the tannic acid in tea combines with the protein in meat to form astringent tannic acid protein, it slows down intestinal peristalsis, causes constipation, and produces toxic substances.

9) It is not advisable to drink tea after taking tonic medicines such as ginseng to prevent chemical reactions with the alkali in the tea.
