What vitamin is lacking when the skin itches

If your skin often itches, it is likely that you have come into contact with something that may cause allergies, or it may be that your body lacks certain trace elements, such as vitamins. If the body lacks vitamins, it is easy to cause skin allergies. Eat more foods rich in vitamins, such as animal liver, chicken, cod liver oil, beans, celery, etc. Here are some signs of vitamin deficiency in the body:

1. Which vitamin deficiency can cause skin itching?

Skin itching may be caused by a lack of vitamins A, B2, B6, and E. Foods rich in vitamin A, such as animal liver, carrots, rapeseed, celery, eggs, cod liver oil, etc. Foods containing vitamin B6 include: wheat bran, potatoes, peas, cabbage, beef liver, kidneys, bananas, etc.; foods containing vitamin B2 include: soybeans, yeast, animal liver, shiitake mushrooms, etc. Patients with itchy skin should avoid spicy, greasy, seafood, coffee, cigarettes, alcohol and other irritating foods.

2. Clinical manifestations of vitamin deficiency

Vitamin A deficiency: Deep and obvious white lines appear on the nails, dry hair, rough skin, memory loss, irritability, insomnia and skin diseases, etc.

Vitamin B1 deficiency: sensitive to external stimuli, intermittent soreness in the calves;

Lack of vitamin B2: cracks and ulcers at the corners of the mouth, various skin diseases, and burning sensation in the hands and feet. Oversensitivity to light;

Vitamin B3 deficiency: red and swollen tongue, bad breath, mouth ulcers, depression;

Vitamin B6 deficiency: thick tongue coating, swollen lips, scalp irritation, dry oral mucosa;

Vitamin B12 deficiency: Loss of balance, intermittent pain in the body, sore fingers and toes;

Lack of vitamin C: wounds are difficult to heal, weakness, bleeding teeth, and thick tongue coating.

Vitamin D: rickets in children and osteomalacia in adults. Rickets in children is common in children under 3 years old, especially infants under 1 year old; osteomalacia in adults is more common in pregnant women, nursing mothers and the elderly.

Lack of vitamin E: can cause skin itching, discomfort and other symptoms. People with fat malabsorption (suffering from sprue, pancreatic lesions), newborns (especially premature babies), and those who consume too much polyunsaturated fatty acids may suffer from vitamin E deficiency.
