Are there any symptoms when erysipelas of the feet recurs?

I don’t know if you have ever been infected with erysipelas in your life. This disease is usually a complication caused by other diseases in the body. It is caused by infection of the lymph nodes in our body. Just like wound infection after surgery or some skin diseases, erysipelas can cause erysipelas. Erysipelas usually causes some small red bumps on the patient’s skin. So what are the symptoms of recurrence of erysipelas on the feet?

The more reliable medicine for erysipelas is Huadudan, which should be taken for one week after the symptoms are completely eliminated to avoid recurrence. Pay attention to your diet, avoid spicy food, alcohol, and eat less high-calorie foods such as chicken, fish, meat, eggs, cream, chocolate, etc. You can drink water frequently and eat refreshing fruits frequently. After erysipelas is cured, these small lumps will gradually disappear by local hot compresses and massage.

1. The principle of systemic treatment is to eliminate the inducing factors and actively treat the primary lesions. Patients with severe systemic symptoms should be given necessary supportive therapy.

2. Penicillin is the first choice for antibiotic treatment, which can be injected intravenously or intramuscularly. Treatment should be continued for about 2 weeks after the body temperature returns to normal. Sulfonamides or other antibiotics may also be used.

3. The principle of local treatment is anti-inflammatory. Various antibiotic ointments, erysipelas ointment, 20% ichthyol ointment or pure ichthyol patch can be used locally. Apply 2% iodine tincture or 0.1% ethacridine (Rivanol) solution as a wet compress around the affected area.

For patients with chronic recurrent tinea pedis and varicose veins of the lower limbs as the cause, helium-neon laser, ultraviolet light and superficial X-ray irradiation are effective, and local injection of streptococcal antitoxin can prevent recurrence.

Erysipelas is an acute inflammation of the lymphatic vessels in the skin and subcutaneous tissue and surrounding soft tissue caused by infection with beta-hemolytic streptococci. Patients with erysipelas should pay attention to rest, avoid excessive fatigue, and be appropriately isolated. If the disease is in the lower limbs, you should stay in bed and elevate the affected limb.

Guidance and advice: Since erysipelas is prone to recurrence, do not use medication blindly. Erysipelas can be treated mainly with traditional Chinese medicine to improve circulation, prevent progression, and fundamentally regulate the body's functions to achieve the goal of treating both the symptoms and the root cause. It is recommended to go to a professional and authoritative hospital's peripheral vascular department for diagnosis and treatment to avoid delays in the disease.
