How to heal the pain from chest rib injury quickly

How to heal the pain from chest rib injury quickly

Some people may accidentally fracture or injure their ribs due to the impact of heavy objects or sudden falls. This can cause great pain to the chest and even lead to frequent pain. When this kind of injury occurs, how to get better faster becomes a problem that everyone is concerned about.

There are four taboos in the diet of patients with fractures. They should not eat too much meat and bones. The main components of meat and bones are phosphorus and calcium.

If consumed in large quantities after a fracture, it will increase the inorganic content in the bone, leading to an imbalance in the proportion of organic matter in the bone, which will hinder the early healing of the fracture.

After a fracture, most patients experience trauma or surgery, which disrupts their original life rhythm and often causes a decrease in appetite and a lack of appetite. To do this, you need to put more effort into your diet. It should be rich in nutrition, good in color, aroma and taste, and can stimulate appetite.

1. Avoid picky eating: Fracture patients are often accompanied by local edema, congestion, bleeding, muscle tissue damage, etc. The body itself has the ability to resist and repair these, and the body's tissue repair, blood stasis and swelling are mainly dependent on various nutrients. Therefore, it can be seen that the key to ensuring the smooth healing of fracture patients is nutrition.

2. Avoid eating foods that are difficult to digest: Fracture patients have limited mobility due to fixation with plaster or splints, and coupled with swelling and pain in the injured area and mental anxiety, they often have a poor appetite. Therefore, food should be both nutritious and easy to digest. Avoid foods that cause bloating or indigestion, such as sweet potatoes and glutinous rice. Eat more fruits and vegetables.

3. Avoid drinking less water: Bedridden patients with fractures have great difficulty in moving, so they should drink less water to reduce the frequency of urination. Although the frequency of urination is reduced, the patients are less active and their intestinal motility is weakened. In addition, the reduced water intake can easily cause constipation. Therefore, bedridden patients with fractures can drink water whenever they want without having to worry too much.

4. Avoid eating too much white sugar: After consuming a large amount of white sugar, it will cause rapid metabolism of glucose, thereby producing metabolic intermediates. At this time, alkaline calcium, magnesium, sodium and other ions will be immediately mobilized to participate in the neutralization effect to prevent the blood from becoming acidic. Such a large consumption of calcium will be detrimental to the recovery of fracture patients. Fractures take time to heal, so don't rush! The principles of fracture treatment are: reduction, fixation, and functional exercise.
