I ate bloody chicken legs and got bird flu

During the period of bird flu epidemic, every poultry may be infected with bird flu, and bird flu is most common in chickens and ducks. Therefore, before eating chicken and duck, you must first clean them and sterilize the meat with high temperature before eating. Some people do not sterilize the meat thoroughly and eat the chicken legs while they are still bloody. So what should you do if you get avian influenza after eating bloody chicken legs?

Avian influenza can be transmitted by eating undercooked meat, eggs and other foods from diseased poultry. The red color of chicken does not mean that it is not cooked. Secondly, it is not possible to determine whether a chicken is diseased by looking at only one chicken leg. If the food is not cooked thoroughly, it will feel difficult to chew and the taste may be a little strange. In this case, it is probably not because it is not cooked, so you will not be infected with avian influenza. It is recommended that you do not eat unsafe, overly greasy or fried foods outside, and pay attention to food hygiene.

The avian influenza virus is not transmitted through undercooked meat. In areas where avian influenza outbreaks occur, poultry and poultry products are safe to eat as long as they are properly processed and cooked. Heating all parts of food to 70°C (no pink part in chicken and no runny yolk in eggs) can kill the avian influenza virus. Eaters should also be aware of the dangers of cross contamination and handle raw and cooked foods separately. In areas where there is no avian influenza outbreak, infection generally will not occur if you follow this requirement when eating.

Domestic chickens may not necessarily be infected with avian influenza. Although avian influenza is prevalent now, if your chickens do not go to other people's homes and stay at home, the possibility of them being infected with avian influenza is generally low. Don't let the chickens roam around, just raise them at home and there generally won't be any problem. Keep the chickens in a pen and prevent them from coming into contact with the outside world, especially other people's chickens and birds. Feed the chickens as soon as they are prepared and eaten, and do not leave it outside to avoid contamination!
