How to pick and wash Chinese toon

Spring is the time when Chinese toon starts to be available in large quantities. It is rich in nutrients, including protein, fat, trace elements, etc., which are especially easy to absorb by the human body. The spring toon sprouts are fresh and delicious, and have a unique aroma. In traditional Chinese medicine theory, toon is believed to have the effects of clearing away heat and detoxifying, as well as strengthening the stomach and regulating qi. Modern medical research has found that toon is very effective in preventing cancer.

How to pick and wash Chinese toon? Most of the Chinese toon on the market are grown in greenhouses. Due to planting technology reasons, watering is required during the planting process and spraying fertilizers containing nitrogen and phosphorus on the leaves, which can easily cause nitrate pollution. The second watering is carried out after two crops of Chinese toon are harvested. Before the third watering, apply the mixed diammonium phosphate and urea to dissolve them with water. At the same time, use 0.5% urea and potassium dihydrogen phosphate, spraying them alternately on the leaves of Toona sinensis every week for foliar fertilization. Therefore, the first and second crops of Chinese toon in spring are relatively safe, but you need to be careful with the third crop. When you buy the third crop of Chinese toon, you must wash it carefully, extend the soaking time, and try to avoid eating it raw.
