Broken jaw while eating

We all know that we need to chew with our teeth when we eat, but we also need to support our chin to proceed smoothly. Sometimes when we accidentally eat something hard while eating, or chew incorrectly, it may cause a fractured jaw. After a fracture, we must go to the hospital in time for correct reduction and then fix it. Do not move it around. If the recovery is not good, it may affect your daily life in the future. Eat more foods that are conducive to bone setting.

The requirements for fracture treatment are good reduction and firm fixation, so that the broken bones are in their normal position and cannot move. The bones can grow back and grow firmly after a certain period of time. Different treatment suggestions are adopted according to the specific circumstances of the fracture in different parts of the body. If the fracture is unstable or cannot be reduced manually, surgical reduction and fixation will be required. Mandibular surgery does not mean that the bone will grow back properly. It will take some time to grow back properly. Teeth grow on the jawbone, so moving the jaw and using the teeth will of course be painful before the bone heals.

What to eat with a broken jaw?

1. Patients with fractures should drink some milk appropriately. Milk contains rich calcium and other nutrients needed by the human body. What should you eat when you have a fracture? Appropriate supplementation can ensure the adequacy of nutrients such as calcium in the human body and promote the healing of fractures. However, be careful not to drink too much milk. Excessive tonic will not promote healing and may even delay the healing of fractures.

2. The amount of bone soup or fish soup should be appropriate. Eating too much will lead to overnutrition or imbalance of nutrients in the patient's body, thus affecting the recovery of fractures; in addition, some patients with fractures need to stay in bed for a long time, so the corresponding amount of activity will be greatly reduced, and the metabolism of food will be sluggish, which may gradually cause the patient to become obese, which is not conducive to the recovery of fractures.

3. Eat some light food. Eating more vegetables and fruits, such as carrots, lettuce, oranges, apples, etc., can help supplement various vitamins in the patient's body, promote the patient's metabolism, and assist in the recovery of fractures.
