Why is it so easy to get heat stroke

During the hot summer, when the temperature is too high due to direct sunlight, many people experience symptoms of heat stroke. Heatstroke is often manifested by dizziness, chest tightness, nausea and vomiting, which is a very uncomfortable and abnormal physiological reaction. Although heatstroke is a disease mostly caused by excessively hot and humid weather, it is also often closely related to our physical condition. People who are prone to heatstroke tend to have relatively weaker physical fitness.

The outside temperature is too high

1 When the outside temperature is too high, the body's temperature will not only fail to dissipate, but will continue to rise. This can happen, for example, when working under strong sunlight, in a hot workshop, or because the room is poorly ventilated. At this time, the body temperature increases greatly, exceeding the level that the human body can tolerate, and heat stroke occurs. This condition is also called "heat stroke."

High humidity in the surrounding environment

2One of the main ways to dissipate heat is through sweating. Sweating can only be fully exerted when the ambient humidity is low. If the surrounding air is not dry enough, the sweat produced by the body cannot turn into steam and cannot take away excess heat from the body. Heatstroke caused by this reason often occurs in high-temperature workshops where steaming operations are carried out.

Caused by heart disease

3 In hot weather, in order to dissipate excess body heat, the body's blood vessels must expand. At this time, the skin and face of the human body will turn red and hot. In order to adapt to this huge circulation demand, the heart must work twice as hard. Some people's hearts cannot cope with this heavy task, and they suffer circulatory failure and faint. This condition is called heat exhaustion. Patients with existing heart problems, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, etc., are more likely to suffer from heatstroke.

Sodium loss

4 Sodium salt is an indispensable substance for our body. When the human body sweats, sodium salt will be excreted. If we do not replenish it in time, the lack of this sodium salt in the body will cause muscle spasms, which is what we call "cramps", and in medicine it is called "heatstroke cramps" in the right foot.
