The purpose of scraping

The purpose of scraping

Nowadays, more and more people sit in front of computers and TVs for a long time, which makes people more and more prone to bone diseases such as cervical spondylosis and periarthritis of the shoulder, etc. These diseases will bring many adverse effects to the human body, such as back pain, joint pain, etc. Faced with this situation, many people will use scraping to regulate it, so what is the purpose of scraping?

Scraping the throat can help dredge the tendons and meridians. Now more and more people are suffering from cervical spondylosis, periarthritis of the shoulder, and low back pain, because these muscles are often in a state of tension and contraction. Scraping can relax the tendons and meridians, eliminate painful lesions, and relieve muscle tension. While significantly reducing pain symptoms, it is also beneficial to the recovery of lesions.

Throat scraping can promote metabolism. Our body is constantly metabolizing every day, and many toxins are deposited in the pores under our skin. Scraping can allow the waste left in the metabolism to be excreted, make the blood flow more smoothly, and restore natural metabolic vitality.

Apply appropriate amount of scraping oil on the area where scraping is required. First scrape the midline of the chest, and then scrape the Tiantu point at the corner point. Then scrape the Lianquan acupoint. Don't be too hard, just scrape until a little sha appears. Scrape the Chize point on the forearm repeatedly until the skin turns red and purple sha spots and sha scars are formed under the skin. Finally, scrape the Hegu point on the hand again to prevent sha from appearing. For Shaoshang and Shangyang points, push and press the punctured area before acupuncture to allow blood to accumulate at the puncture area. After routine disinfection, pinch the punctured area or acupoint with the thumb, index and middle fingers of the left hand, hold the needle with the right hand, aim at the acupoint and quickly insert the needle. Immediately withdraw the needle, gently squeeze the area around the needle hole to cause a small amount of bleeding, and then press the needle hole with a sterilized cotton ball.

Throat scraping has many advantages, but also disadvantages. Patients need to choose the appropriate treatment method according to their own situation. If necessary, they can go to the hospital for treatment, which can help the body recover as soon as possible.

Mechanism of action:

1. Gua Sha can regulate the contraction and relaxation of muscles, so that the pressure between tissues can be regulated, so as to promote blood circulation around the scraped tissues and increase tissue flow, thereby playing the role of "promoting blood circulation and removing stasis" and "removing blood stasis and promoting new blood".

2. Adjusting Yin and Yang Scraping has a significant effect on adjusting the balance of Yin and Yang in internal organs. For example, for those with hyperperistalsis, scraping the abdomen and back can suppress the hyperperistalsis and restore it to normal. On the contrary, for those with decreased intestinal motility, it can promote their motility to return to normal. This shows that scraping can improve and adjust the functions of internal organs and balance the yin and yang of the internal organs.

3. Relaxing muscles and unblocking meridians. Damaged soft tissues such as muscle fascia, ligaments, and joint capsules may generate pain signals, which, through the reflex action of nerves, put related tissues in a state of alert. Muscle contraction, tension, and even spasm are reflections of this state of alert. Its purpose is to reduce limb activity and thus relieve pain. This is the body's natural protective response.
