How to clean candle oil dripping on clothes

When celebrating birthdays, people often eat cake to cheer themselves up. Before eating the cake, there is a particularly grand ceremony, which is to blow out the candles and make a wish. When a candle burns, it produces candle wax. When we pick up a burning candle, the candle oil will drip everywhere. Sometimes it will drip onto our clothes and is difficult to clean. So how should we clean the candle oil that drips on clothes?

1. Removal of animal and plant oil stains Animal and plant oil stains are common stains on clothing and are also polar liquid stains. Such stains should be wiped or scrubbed with organic solvents such as solvent gasoline and tetrachloroethylene. When scrubbing, use a towel or cotton cloth to absorb the wiped stain solution in time to separate it from the surface of the clothing. Prevent some stains from remaining on the surface of the clothing after the solution evaporates, which will leave marks on the surface of the clothing. If marks appear, they can be removed by repeated wiping or expanded scrubbing. You can also apply water to the stained part of the clothing and spray it with a high-pressure spray gun.

2. Removal of pine oil stains When carrying pine wood, it is easy for clothes to be stained with pine oil, which should be removed in time. According to the principle that pine oil can be dissolved in alcohol, alcohol or a mixture of alcohol and turpentine can be applied to the stains. After the pine oil stains are softened and dissolved, wipe them with a wet towel. If there are still traces, wipe them with gasoline. If they cannot be wiped clean in one go, repeat several times until they are clean.

3. Removal of curry stains The method to remove curry stains from clothes is: first moisten the curry stains on the clothes with clean water, then put them into 50.C warm glycerin to scrub, and finally rinse with clean water. If the clothes are made of cotton or linen, they can be scrubbed with 10% ammonia solution. If the clothes are made of silk or wool, they can be scrubbed with 10% dilute acetic acid solution, and finally rinsed with clean water. Curry stains on white clothes can be scrubbed with 5% sodium hypochlorite solution, then washed with detergent, and finally rinsed with clean water.

4. Removal of machine oil stains For lighter machine oil stains, you can use gasoline to scrub them, then place a piece of blotting paper or cloth above and below the oil stain on the clothes and iron it with an iron to make the oil evaporate further and be absorbed by the paper or cloth. Repeat this process of changing the paper or cloth and ironing it several times until all the oil stains are absorbed. Finally, wash with detergent and rinse with clean water. For darker machine oil stains, you must rinse with high-quality gasoline, then use blotting paper or cloth to iron and absorb, and finally rinse with warm water.

5. Removal of candle oil stains. If the clothes are stained with candle oil, it is not enough to just wash them. First, rub off the wax on the surface of the clothes with your hands, then use blotting paper or paper with strong adsorption to pad the upper and lower parts of the stains and then iron them with an iron. The candle will melt when it encounters heat, and the melted candle oil will be absorbed by the paper. If it cannot be removed cleanly in one go, you can repeat it several times, and the traces of candle oil will be completely removed.
