What to do if there are bugs in the rice

What to do if there are bugs in the rice

Nowadays, families all like to eat rice, but rice will get infested with insects if it is left for a long time. If bugs grow in the rice, the rice cannot be eaten anymore and the bugs must be picked out before it can be eaten again. However, these insects are very tiny and difficult to distinguish with the naked eye. You can put the rice with insects in the sun, or in a cool and ventilated place to let the insects crawl out by themselves, or you can put it in a pot and steam it with hot steam. Let's take a look at the specific methods below.

1. Place the rice with insects in it in a cool and ventilated place, blow it for a while, wait for the insects to crawl out, and then sift it. 02 If there are too many insects, use zinc phosphide and organic acid to fumigate them. Seal the rice well and all the insects inside will be killed after 5-10 days. Let the gas dissipate for 2-3 days, then take out the residue and discard it. 03 You can also seal the rice and place it in the freezer of the refrigerator and take it out after two days. 04 Place the purchased rice in the freezer and freeze it for 4 hours to kill the insect eggs. 05 Place the bottle of wine in the rice. The rice cannot exceed the height of the bottle. Seal the rice bag. 06 Put the cloth in the pot and boil it. Add peppercorns into the pot and cook together. Take out and dry it. Put the rice in and put it in a cool and ventilated place. 07 You can also put kelp in the rice to prevent mildew, and replace it every ten days.

2. 1. Use lime to prevent rice from being infested with insects. Put some quicklime on the bottom of the rice container, cover it with plastic cloth, then put the rice in, and cover the container tightly to prevent insects.

2. Use white wine to prevent rice from being infested with insects. Because the volatile ethanol in white wine has insecticidal and bactericidal effects, it can prevent rice from being infested with insects. Place a clean bottle filled with white wine into the rice storage container, with the bottle mouth higher than the rice level, without adding a lid, and then cover the container tightly to prevent insects.

3. Garlic can prevent rice from being infested with insects. Place a few cloves of garlic scattered in a rice storage container and cover the container tightly, which can also have an insect-proof effect.

3.1. Release the insects. Place the rice with insects in it in a cool and ventilated place, let the insects crawl out slowly, and then sift it again.

2. When there are many insects in rice, use phosphazenium zinc and organic acid to fumigate them. On the balcony or in an unused room, put the infested rice together with the bag in a well-sealed plastic bag, i.e. a fumigation bag. Then put a cup or bowl with 50 grams of vinegar in the fumigation bag. If the grain does not exceed 500 kilograms, wrap one gram of zinc phosphide in paper and put it into the cup or bowl of vinegar. Seal the fumigation bag immediately without stirring. Sealing it for 5-10 days will kill all the pests inside. After that, let the gas dissipate for 2-3 days, remove the vinegar water and discard the residue.

3. The insect-infested rice in the problem sun should be fed to chickens. If we find that the rice has been infested with insects for a long time, and the insects have grown to the point where they are all around the rice, and the rice may have become hollow and broken, then the rice can no longer be eaten by us and we should feed it to chickens. It is good for chickens to eat insects as they absorb the nutrients in them. When we usually eat chicken, if we pay attention we will find that chickens walking on the ground like to eat insects. These chickens are often more delicious than chickens eating wood. In addition, chickens also like to eat rice. At this time, the two main ingredients in the insect-infested rice are both the favorites of chickens. The rice is not wasted and the chickens have found their own food, which is killing two birds with one stone.
