How to get rid of tooth odor

Teeth are like our facade, they need constant care. If the teeth are affected, we will not be able to maintain a confident smile. Now everyone is paying more attention to the changes in oral tissues, especially in recent years, our living standards have continued to improve, so our diet has naturally become better. Over time, dental problems will occur due to not paying attention to eating habits. So how should we get rid of the smell in our teeth?

Teeth are naturally very important as part of the "facade" project. The World Health Organization attaches great importance to oral health and has established "clean teeth, no cavities, no pain, normal gum color, and no bleeding" as the standard for oral health. The Chinese government pays great attention to oral health issues and has designated September 20th of each year as National Love Teeth Day.

In recent years, with the continuous improvement of people's living standards, the awareness of the importance of dental care has been continuously enhanced, and "teeth cleaning" has been accepted by more and more people. According to Zhang Jianqiang, deputy chief physician and member of the Stomatology Committee of the PLA Medical Science and Technology Committee and director of the Stomatology Department of the PLA 304 Hospital, in the past, most patients went to the hospital for treatment only after they had dental diseases and rarely thought about having their teeth cleaned. Although people's awareness of oral health has increased, there are still some people who do not understand the purpose of teeth cleaning well. In addition, due to the influence of certain empirical factors, some misunderstandings have occurred.

Teeth cleaning can cause the gaps between teeth to widen, leading to tooth allergies and tooth damage.

People who hold this view have an unclear understanding of the principles and purpose of teeth cleaning. At present, the teeth cleaning performed in hospitals and regular dental clinics does not utilize the abrasive effect to grind away the attachments on the surface of the teeth. Instead, it uses ultrasonic high-frequency oscillation to remove calculus and calcified dirt on the surface of the teeth to prevent them from further irritating the gums and causing symptoms such as bleeding, fear of acid, fear of sweet, fear of heat, fear of cold, etc., which in turn lead to gingivitis. Theoretically, this type of cleaning does not cause wear and damage to teeth, so there is no need to worry too much.

Secondly, allergies, enlarged gaps between teeth and discomfort after teeth cleaning are because people have not had the habit of teeth cleaning for many years. Tartar has been attached to the teeth for too long and is very hard. After it is removed all at once, people are not used to it. In addition, if you don't wash your teeth for a long time, it will lead to gum atrophy and exposed tooth roots. Normally, they are protected by calculus, and certain allergic symptoms will appear after washing. Although calculus can provide some protection for the gums and tooth roots, this protection is unhealthy and will greatly increase the incidence of oral diseases. The problem between teeth already existed, but it had not been cleaned for a long time, causing it to be blocked by stones.

Teeth cleaning is expensive, time-consuming, and uncomfortable, so it is unnecessary.

Generally speaking, you can have your teeth cleaned once every six months or a year. For smokers, it is best to have your teeth cleaned once every three months or so. Regular teeth cleaning not only cleans the teeth, but the doctor also examines the teeth while cleaning, which makes it easier to detect problems and treat them in time. The first time you wash your teeth, it may be a little uncomfortable because there is a lot of dental plaque. Once you persist and are able to keep your mouth clean, the next time will be much better. Just like we wash our clothes regularly, our teeth also need to be washed from time to time.
