Intestinal health has always been an issue of concern to everyone. More and more people suffer from diarrhea, abdominal pain, obstructed excretion, and even constipation due to intestinal functional problems. Intestinal diseases can cause the anus to feel like something is blocking it, and it can neither go up nor down. Moreover, only a little bit can be excreted each time, which is very unsmooth and has a great impact on the patient's body. Traditional Chinese Medicine Intestinal dysfunction belongs to the category of "abdominal pain", "diarrhea" and "poor circulation" in traditional Chinese medicine, and is closely related to constipation. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that this disease is related to improper diet, overeating of raw, cold, fatty and sweet foods; or emotional imbalance, stagnation of liver qi; or excessive fatigue, damage to the spleen; or aging and physical weakness, long-term illness and organ deficiency, resulting in spleen and stomach dysfunction. Clinically, it can be divided into symptoms such as liver qi invading the spleen, dampness and turbidity blocking the spleen, spleen and stomach weakness, and spleen and kidney yang deficiency. (1) Liver Qi invading the spleen. Symptoms include abdominal distension and pain. The pain is accompanied by diarrhea. The diarrhea is not large. The distension and pain are relieved after diarrhea. There is a feeling of warmth in the chest, poor appetite, and occasional constipation. The symptoms are usually caused by emotional depression and anger. The tongue coating is thin white and the pulse is stringy. The treatment should be to drain the liver and strengthen the spleen. (2) Dampness and turbidity obstructing the spleen. Symptoms include abdominal distension and pain, intestinal rumbling and diarrhea. Abdominal pain and diarrhea are aggravated by improper diet. Food is indigestion, nausea and vomiting, fatigue and heaviness, difficulty urinating, pale and fat tongue, greasy white tongue coating, and slippery or weak pulse. Treatment should be aimed at strengthening the spleen and eliminating dampness. (3) Weak spleen and stomach syndrome. Symptoms include loose stools, indigestion, increased frequency of loose stools after consuming greasy food, poor appetite, abdominal distension, sallow complexion, fatigue, pale tongue, and a thready and weak pulse. Treatment is suitable for strengthening the spleen and stomach. (4) Spleen and Kidney Yang Deficiency. Symptoms include diarrhea at dawn, abdominal pain with rumbling, relief after diarrhea, cold abdomen and preference for warmth, cold body and limbs, sallow or pale complexion, poor appetite, fatigue, and sore waist and knees. The tongue is pale, the tongue coating is thin white, and the pulse is deep and fine. Treatment should be aimed at warming and tonifying the spleen and kidneys. There are many western medicines for the treatment of intestinal dysfunction, but few have objective indicators and reliable efficacy. Because the disease is a functional disease, it may be accompanied by many systemic symptoms such as plum pit qi, nervous vomiting, nervous belching, anorexia nervosa and irritable bowel syndrome, often accompanied by insomnia, anxiety, inattention, forgetfulness, nervousness, headache and other functional symptoms. Therefore, the treatment needs to use Lichang Tiaowei Anshen Decoction to comprehensively regulate the mind and the five internal organs, so that they can completely return to normal. Do not treat the symptoms without treating the head. Do not grasp the main contradiction of the disease to carry out comprehensive treatment, but take the one-sided symptoms as the main symptoms, resulting in neglecting one thing while focusing on another, causing the disease to recur repeatedly and be difficult to cure.
