Is blue tempered glass good for eyes?

With the development of science and technology, the update speed of electronic products is also very fast. Some people have to often look at electronic products such as mobile phones or computers due to work reasons, but some people like to play with mobile phones. Everyone knows that the radiation of these electronic products is very large, so it is also very harmful to human eyes. In fact, blue tempered film generally does not cause any harm to the eyes, but protects the eyes.

The principle of anti-blue light tempered film:

Anti-blue light tempered film mainly blocks the high-energy short-wave blue light emitted by LCD/LED screens. Its principle is to absorb and refract excessive short-wave blue light in the screen, greatly reducing the stimulation of blue light to the eyes, effectively relieving dry eyes, red eyes, eye pain, and eye fatigue, thereby better protecting eyesight.

The method of identifying the authenticity of anti-blue light tempered film is as follows:

1. Before applying, pick up the anti-blue light tempered film and observe it from different angles. Some angles will reflect blue-purple light.

2. Place the anti-blue light tempered film on white A4 paper. You can see a slightly yellowish-green color through the tempered film.

3. After putting the anti-blue light tempered film on the phone, the screen clearly reflects blue-purple light when it is in black state.

4. After turning on the phone screen, the screen feels clearer than usual to the naked eye, and the light is softer.

How is blue light produced?

Since the backlight of the mobile phone is realized by LED lighting, white light is generally used, and the industry generally uses blue LED mixed with yellow phosphor to form white light. So in this white light, the blue spectrum is more intense, and this is what we call blue light.

What are the dangers of blue light?

Blue light can directly penetrate the lens of our eyes and reach the retina directly. A large amount of high-energy blue light can cause retinal damage. In addition, excessive exposure to blue light can also cause endocrine disorders, leading to symptoms such as insomnia. However, you can rest assured that the above-mentioned hazards will only occur when blue light reaches a certain intensity, and the blue light from mobile phones is far below this intensity! However, staring at the mobile phone screen for a long time, low-intensity blue light will also cause visual fatigue and is harmful to the eyes.

How to reduce blue light?

The current popular practice is to put a layer of "blue light film" on the mobile phone! Most people will consider putting a film on their mobile phone after buying a new mobile phone. The more popular ones on the market are tempered films. Some tempered films have anti-blue light function, and the price is naturally a little more expensive.

Is anti-blue light film useful?

Experiments have shown that anti-blue light protective film can still filter out some blue light, but the various products on the market are uneven, and the actual proportion of blue light filtered out is also different. What is certain is that after applying the anti-blue light film, the screen will become more yellowish (this can be referred to the principle of blue light generation described above). Therefore, you must pay attention to the quality when purchasing a protective film. Otherwise, a poor-quality protective film will have poor light transmittance and an unsaturated picture, which will have the opposite effect and aggravate visual fatigue.
