Young atrophic gastritis

Young atrophic gastritis

Gastric disease is a relatively common disease, and now the patients suffering from gastric disease are showing a trend of getting younger. Gastric disease is often caused by certain reasons such as living habits and eating habits. Atrophic gastritis is a common gastric disease among many young people. When suffering from atrophic gastritis, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time, change your living and eating habits according to the doctor's requirements, and go to the hospital for regular check-ups.

Causes of atrophic gastritis in young people

Reason 1

In fact, the increase in the incidence of atrophic gastritis among young people in recent years is mainly due to long-term chronic gastritis caused by factors such as lifestyle habits. The reason why atrophic gastritis occurs in the gastric mucosa is because of chronic inflammation of the stomach, which causes the gastric mucosal epithelium and glands to atrophy, decrease in number, thinning of the gastric mucosa, and thickening of the mucosal base. Therefore, inflammation is the cause of the disease and an important factor leading to the progression of the disease.

Reason 2

Bad living habits and Helicobacter pylori infection should be the main causes of atrophic gastritis in young people. Things like overeating, irregular hunger and fullness, drinking without restraint, eating spicy food, staying up late, consuming cold drinks, eating midnight snacks, frequently eating takeout and fast food, etc., can all lead to chronic inflammation of the stomach, and repeated stimulation can make it difficult to heal for a long time. Helicobacter pylori infection is one of the main causes of chronic gastritis. The average infection rate in my country is about 50%. The infection rate is also higher among young people because they have more opportunities to dine out.

Reason 3

Studies have shown that in the past five years, the incidence of gastric cancer among young people has increased by about one-fold compared to thirty years ago. Therefore, whether it is paying attention to developing good living habits or paying attention to the eradication of Helicobacter pylori, it is very important in the treatment of atrophic gastritis in young people and the prevention and treatment of gastric cancer.
