Can contact lenses be used for astigmatism?

Nowadays, there are more and more people who are addicted to their phones, and along with it, the number of people with myopia is also increasing. However, myopia is only a relatively simple problem. Some people even have astigmatism problems. Therefore, when they get glasses, they must first go to the hospital to test the degree of astigmatism before they can get the right glasses. However, only frame glasses have this function. If you want to wear contact lenses, you cannot take astigmatism into account.

Contact lenses are also called contact lenses. It corrects refractive errors by changing the refractive power of the cornea.

Astigmatism occurs when the eye's accommodation is stationary and parallel light rays passing through the eye's refractive system cannot be focused on the retina, but instead form two focal lines, one in front and one behind. It is generally caused by the different curvature radii of each meridian on the surface of the cornea and lens. If it is corneal astigmatism, after wearing contact lenses, the contact lenses and tears will fill in the different curvatures on the cornea, so contact lenses are the only ideal way to correct irregular astigmatism. If the contact lenses are too thin, the effect will be relatively reduced. Therefore, if you have astigmatism, it is best to choose slightly thicker contact lenses that you can tolerate. The general rule for astigmatism with contact lenses is: when the astigmatism is within 1.00, the spherical lens: cylindrical lens is greater than 3:1; when the astigmatism is above 1.00 degrees, the spherical lens: cylindrical lens is greater than 4:1.

If the ratio of myopia or hyperopia to astigmatism does not meet the above ratio, professional astigmatism corneal contact lenses can be customized. Of course, its cost is higher than ordinary contact lenses. This is also the best way to wear contact lenses. Doctors generally recommend this method of wearing contact lenses.

People with myopia and astigmatism should pay attention to the following when wearing contact lenses:

First, you must have accurate optometry;

2. If the degree is less than 300 degrees and does not affect vision, it is not recommended to wear glasses;

3. If you wear contact lenses, be sure to use them in the correct way.

The best way to avoid wearing glasses is to detect myopia or astigmatism and treat it in time. Especially for children under the age of 18, who are still in the stage of vision development and have strong eye accommodation, taking medication in time can quickly reduce the degree of myopia and astigmatism and improve vision.

Doctors generally recommend taking Lejing Vision Nutrients, two packets a day. If you take it for a period of time, refractive errors will gradually be corrected, vision will improve, and you can avoid wearing glasses for a long time.
