What to do if your thighs are O-shaped

What to do if your thighs are O-shaped

In our lives, many people's legs are not particularly perfect. Their legs look crooked, which greatly affects their appearance when they walk, especially when they wear skirts. O-shaped legs are very ugly, so shaping is also very important when losing weight. At this time, you can make your legs straight. So what should you do with O-shaped thighs?

Indeed, whether the calf is straight not only determines whether the legs are beautiful, but is also an important factor in whether the entire body is perfect. Many people suffer from crooked calves. It bends like brackets, which greatly affects the appearance. But crooked calves do not necessarily mean bow legs. There are different situations and they need to be treated differently. There are three different situations when the calves are not straight: O-shaped legs, O-shaped legs, and OX-shaped legs. Different situations require different correction methods.

Identify leg shape

First of all, you need to identify whether your calves are really crooked, whether your leg shape is standard, and whether you have O-shaped legs.

The standard leg shape should be that the ankles and soles of the feet are together. When the legs are relaxed and upright, from top to bottom, the mid-thigh, knee joint, mid-calf and ankle can be together. There are three diamond-shaped gaps on the inner side of the leg, above and below the knee joint, and above the ankle.

Therefore, it is not abnormal to have a gap between the legs. The key is the number and position of the gaps.

There are also three situations in which you feel your calves are not straight.

Case 1: Standard leg shape

The legs conform to the standard leg shape mentioned above, and are actually very straight. However, because I felt a gap below my knee joints and at my ankles, I mistakenly thought that my calves were not straight. In fact, there is nothing wrong with the shape of your legs. Legs with well-defined curves and well-proportioned legs are beautiful.

In this case, all you need to do is let go of your burdens.

The second situation: OX-type legs

When you stand upright with your feet together and relaxed, your knees can be together, but the middle parts of your calves cannot touch each other, and there is a continuous gap from the knee joint to the ankle in the calf. This situation is mainly caused by uneven calf muscles and insufficient inner muscles. Medically, this condition of crooked calves is called "OX-type legs".

There are no serious problems in this case, either with the knee joint or the lower leg bones. Therefore, if you want to improve this leg shape, using methods such as straightening instruments and leg wraps will be ineffective. But it is not impossible to improve.

How should this situation be handled? Mainly by strengthening the inner calf muscles to improve the calf curve.

First of all, of course, exercise. There is a simple method: separate your feet with the width of shoulders, point your toes inward, straighten your legs, then squat, and then stand up. Repeat 20 times as a set. Rest for 10 minutes and do the second set. Do 4 sets every day. If you do this for 1 month, the inner calf muscles will be strengthened. If you feel that you cannot persist in exercising or the effect is too slow, you can use a smart electric belt to speed up local leg exercise and metabolism.

The second method is to wear shoes that are higher on the outside and lower on the inside, or to put corrective insoles in the shoes that are higher on the outside and lower on the inside.

In this way, the inner calf muscles will be more tense when walking and standing, thereby being exercised and strengthened.

When exercising with these two methods, you should also pay attention to your usual walking posture and find out if you have any bad postures that cause you to use more force on the outside when walking or standing. If you find these postures, you must correct them. This is the only way to solve the root of the problem.
