What anti-inflammatory medicine should I take after getting a tattoo

In the past, people generally could not accept tattoos, but now society is becoming more and more tolerant, and many people have started getting tattoos. The tattoo process is not very complicated, but tattoo itself is a kind of trauma to our skin, which may cause inflammation or infection. It is necessary to take appropriate anti-inflammatory drugs after the tattoo. So, what anti-inflammatory medicine should you take after getting a tattoo? Let’s take a look below.

Considering that you should be careful not to get infected after getting a tattoo, it is recommended to take oral amoxicillin, cefixime tablets, etc. for anti-inflammatory treatment. Take the medicine for about a week and observe the dynamic situation. Be careful not to touch water and reduce friction.

Things to note after tattooing

1: Keep your clothes loose and breathable. Seafood is absolutely not allowed to be eaten. Do not take saunas, baths or swim, and avoid direct sunlight. Use with caution with alcohol and spicy foods.

2: Wash the tattoo with warm running water (tap water or shower water) within 2 hours after tattooing. After each cleaning, use a tissue to dry the water on the tattoo and apply the ointment evenly. The amount of ointment applied should be based on the non-sticky amount. The principle of less rather than more. The total number of cleaning times is 3-4 times, and it must not exceed 4 times. If it exceeds 4 times, the excessive effect of the drug will cause the tattoo to bulge. Please use bath gel and other toiletries with caution during the washing process. Tattoo cleaning is mainly to wash away the dried serum on the tattoo to prevent the scab from being too thick and hindering the absorption of the ointment. If the blood scab is not washed away, the scab-covered area will be lighter in color than the surrounding area, because the ointment is blocked by the blood scab and cannot enter the skin and will not work. (The ointment is used to make the tattoo color more vivid).

3: Cleaning time: The first time is within 2 hours after tattooing. The second time is before going to bed at night. The third time was the next morning. The fourth time was the next night. Do not wash or apply the ointment more than necessary.

4: The general recovery period for a tattoo is 5-10 days. During these days, it is normal for the tattooed area to itch, scab, and peel. Please do not scratch and let the scab fall off naturally (avoid water as much as possible during the shedding period).

5: Do not use alcohol, gentian violet or other drugs for disinfection and anti-inflammation.

6: Please return to our store for re-inspection after the tattoo area has returned to normal skin

7: If you have any objections, please contact the place where your tattoo was given in time
