There is a nodule in the groin

There is a nodule in the groin

Very few people should develop diseases in their groin because the groin is an area where diseases rarely occur and is difficult to be detected once it occurs. Although the chance of groin disease is low, it does not mean that groin disease will not occur. Some people find that they have nodules in their groin. So if a person finds that he has a nodule in his groin, what treatment should he take?

Classification

Superficial lymph nodes

Mandibular lymph nodes; parotid lymph nodes; superficial cervical lymph nodes, subclavian lymph nodes and superficial inguinal lymph nodes.

Among them, the superficial inguinal lymph nodes are located on the abdominal lamina in front of the external ring of the inguinal canal, on both sides of the penis, called scrotal lymph nodes; located subcutaneously on the outside of the breast base, called mammary lymph nodes, draining lymph from the side and bottom walls of the abdominal cavity, the inner skin of the thigh, penis, foreskin, scrotum and breast.

Deep lymph

Retropharyngeal lymph nodes, deep cervical lymph nodes, bronchial lymph nodes, mediastinal lymph nodes, dorsal thoracic lymph nodes, sternal lymph nodes, gastric lymph nodes, hepatic lymph nodes, splenic lymph nodes, omental lymph nodes, jejunal lymph nodes, colon lymph nodes, cecal lymph nodes, small colon lymph nodes, internal lymph nodes and inguinal lymph nodes.

Among them, the deep inguinal lymph nodes are a large lymph node cluster, only found in equine animals, about 8 to 12 cm long, containing 16 to 35 lymph nodes, located in the upper part of the femoral canal, on the inner surface of the femoral artery and vein, and record the lymph of the pelvic and hind limb muscles, and abdominal wall muscles.

distributed

Superficial lymph nodes are distributed in groups, and each group of lymph nodes receives lymph fluid from a certain area.

For example, the lymph nodes in the ear and mastoid regions receive lymph from the scalp; the submandibular lymph nodes receive lymph from the buccal mucosa, floor of mouth, gums, etc.

The submental lymph nodes collect lymph fluid from the tissues in the submental triangle, lips, and tongue.

The deep cervical lymph nodes collect lymph from the nasopharynx, larynx, trachea, thyroid gland, etc.;

The right supraclavicular lymph nodes receive lymph from the trachea, pleura, lungs, etc.;

The left supraclavicular lymph nodes receive lymph fluid from the esophagus, gastrointestinal tract and other organs.

The upper trunk, breast, chest wall, etc. are where lymphatic fluid flows back into the axillary lymph nodes;

Lymph from the lower limbs and perineum flows back into the inguinal lymph nodes.

When inflammation or cancer occurs in a part of the body, microorganisms or cancer cells can spread along the lymphatic vessels to reach the lymph nodes of that organ or part, causing swollen and tender lymph nodes, which is of great significance for the diagnosis of the disease.

effect

The superficial inguinal lymph nodes collect lymph fluid from the lower extremities, perineum, external genitalia, buttocks, and the area below the navel on the anterior abdominal wall. Its efferent duct drains into the extracondylar lymph nodes.

The superficial inguinal lymph nodes collect lymph from the superficial structures of the entire lower limb except the lateral edge of the foot and the side of the calf.

There are about 600 to 700 lymph nodes in the human body, and clinically only various superficial lymph nodes of the body can be examined. The superficial lymph nodes of healthy people are very small, with a diameter of no more than 1 cm. They are soft in texture, smooth in surface, difficult to touch, and have no tenderness and adhesion to adjacent tissues.
