Tips for peeling boiled eggs

Tips for peeling boiled eggs

Roll it with your hands

Pick up the boiled eggs and tap them lightly on the table a few times. Then, with your palm facing the egg, start rolling it back and forth on the table a few times. This way, the eggshell will be super easy to peel off.

02Peel eggs with a cup

Put the boiled eggs into a glass, then start adding water. Cover the mouth of the glass with your entire palm, and shake it up and down, just like shaking dice. Then take a look at the egg, is it completely peeled?

03Blowing method

Knock one end of the egg to make a hole, and also knock a hole in the other end. Blow air into the egg with your mouth. Remember to block the hole at the other end with your finger. Blow back and forth a few times to ensure that you can peel the egg easily.

04 Tips for cooking

1. Do not boil eggs straight from the refrigerator, as very cold eggs will fall directly into hot water and are likely to crack.

2. Use a kitchen timer frequently. Trying to guess the time or even remembering to look at your watch is dangerous.

3. Remember that air pocket? During boiling, pressure builds up and causes cracking. An easy way to deal with this is to make pinpricks in the rounded end of the shell (left), which will allow the steam to escape.

4. Always use a small pan. If eggs are given too much room to bump into each other as they cook, there's a good chance they'll crack.

5. Don't boil water quickly: they only need warm stewing water.

6. Don't overcook the eggs (and if you have a timer, you won't). This is a serious sin because the yolk will turn black and the texture will become rubbery.

7. If the eggs are very fresh (less than 4 days old), add 30 seconds to each time.
