If you experience persistent abdominal pain or excessive blood in your stool after a colonoscopy, you should tell your doctor immediately to avoid any accidents.

Dietary precautions: Do not eat spicy, sweet, fermented, cold, or greasy food. It is best to eat food made from fermented flour. Do not eat food made from dead flour (cakes, frozen dumplings). Be careful not to eat leeks or tofu skin.

On the day of colonoscopy, you should drink porridge or other liquid foods that are easier to digest. After the colonoscopy, the intestines are very fragile, so try to eat soft foods, such as tofu.

After the patient has his liver function checked and has his hepatitis B surface antigen, hepatitis C antibody, and HIV antibody checked, he can make an appointment for a colonoscopy. Eat semi-liquid food with little residue 2 days before the examination, and eat rice porridge for 3 meals a day. Do not eat vegetables or fruits; fast for 6 hours before the examination (but not water); start taking 3 ml of warm and diluted enema solution orally at 1:00 am on the morning of the examination and drink it within 1 hour. The day before the examination, you need to eat some easily digestible food, such as porridge, noodles, etc., drink plenty of water, and keep the bowel movements smooth.
