A brief analysis of the types of prostate cancer

Prostate cancer (PCa) is the most common malignant tumor of the male reproductive system. According to reports, the mortality rate of prostate cancer ranks second only to lung cancer in the ranking of male cancer mortality. So what are the types of prostate cancer? Let's take a look.

Type 1: Incidental prostate cancer

The main symptom is benign prostatic hyperplasia. In the resected prostate tissue, prostate cancer is found by histological examination. Its histological manifestation is well-differentiated adenocarcinoma, mainly tubular adenocarcinoma and cribriform adenocarcinoma, and a few are poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma. The incidence of incidental prostate cancer abroad is 10% to 30%. The domestic incidence is reported to be about 5%.

Type 2: Latent prostate cancer

Studies have reported that the incidence of latent prostate cancer is 34%. Statistical studies have shown that the incidence of latent prostate cancer may be related to environmental and genetic factors.

Type 3: Occult prostate cancer

Patients have no symptoms or signs of prostate disease, but pathological examination of lymph node biopsy or bone puncture specimens confirms prostate cancer. This can be further confirmed by prostate puncture biopsy. These patients have elevated serum prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and prostatic acid phosphatase levels. PSA and (or) PAP immunohistochemical staining of biopsy tissue are both positive.

Type 4: Clinical prostate cancer

Clinical examinations can diagnose prostate cancer, which can be confirmed by biopsy. Elevated serum PSA and PAP levels can also assist in diagnosis. Most patients can feel prostate nodules during rectal examinations, and ultrasound examinations show that prostate nodules are irregular in shape, with uneven echoes and low echoes.

The above content is the four major types of prostate cancer. In order to better prevent prostate cancer, we remind you here to go to the hospital for regular check-ups; if you find similar symptoms, you must go to a large, regular hospital for diagnosis and treatment, so as to detect and treat it early.
