The impact of smoking on lung cancer

The issue of lung cancer caused by smoking is an issue that deserves our attention. Lung cancer is closely related to smoking, and smoking is harmful to health. And a large amount of data is favorable to prove this phenomenon. So quitting smoking or reducing the amount of cigarette intake should be an awareness that every smoker should have. The following are several groups of evidence that smoking causes lung cancer so that smokers can pay attention to quitting smoking:

1 If you smoke more than 25 cigarettes a day, 12% of people will develop lung cancer.

2Women who live with smokers are six times more likely to develop lung cancer than normal people.

3 The incidence of lung cancer in long-term smokers is 10 to 20 times higher than that in non-smokers.

4 Heavy smokers are 14 to 20 times more likely to get lung cancer than normal people.

530% of cancers can be attributed to smoking.

6 The risk of lung cancer caused by female smoking is more serious, 1.9 times higher than that of male smokers.

7 Smokers undergo beneficial changes after quitting smoking. Within 5 years, the mortality rate of lung cancer caused by smoking drops to nearly that of non-smokers. Within 10 years, cancer cells are replaced by healthy cells. After quitting smoking for more than 10 years, the incidence of lung cancer caused by smoking drops to roughly the same as that of non-smokers.

8 In most countries around the world, 90% of lung cancer is caused by smoking. In my country, 35 people out of every 100,000 people suffer from cancer. If the lung cancer mortality rate of non-smokers is set as "1.00", the mortality rate for those who start smoking before the age of 15 is 19.65, the mortality rate for those aged 20 to 24 is 10.08, and the mortality rate for those over 25 is 4.08.

9 A smoking index of more than 400 cigarettes per year (the product of years of smoking and the average number of cigarettes per day) is a dangerous signal. For example, if a young man starts smoking at the age of 15 and smokes a pack a day, he may be in danger of lung cancer before he is 35 to 40 years old.

There is no "if" in life. Only by having a sense of quitting smoking from now on can the incidence of lung cancer be greatly reduced. If you implement your smoking cessation plan from now on, or even smoke less, the chance of lung cancer caused by smoking will be reduced, and you will take a big step towards a healthy body in the future.
