The diagnosis of bladder tumors should be timely

The diagnosis of bladder tumors should be timely

Many people do not know much about the diagnosis of bladder tumors. Therefore, they fail to receive effective treatment in the early stages of the disease. In this regard, the following will introduce how to diagnose bladder tumors.

1. Hematuria Hematuria is the most common and earliest symptom of bladder cancer. Most of them are painless hematuria, and a few are microscopic hematuria. The degree of hematuria and anemia is generally proportional to the size of the tumor, but in a few cases, a small papilloma can bleed repeatedly to the extent of anemia.

2. Bladder irritation symptoms Bladder irritation symptoms, i.e. urinary urgency, frequent urination and painful urination, belong to the late stage symptom group, indicating invasive bladder cancer and extensive carcinoma in situ. Tumors with pedicles near the bladder neck can cause dysuria or urinary retention, which is also one of the diagnostic methods for bladder tumors.

3. Other symptoms of bladder cancer include lower limb edema, pelvic mass, bone pain, abdominal pain, or systemic symptoms such as weight loss and weakness, which all indicate that the tumor has metastasized. When the lower abdominal mass is the initial symptom, the first thing to think of is bladder neck adenocarcinoma that starts in the ureter.

In addition, the diagnosis methods of bladder tumors include: Urine cytology has a certain significance in the diagnosis of bladder tumors, and the general positive rate is 80%. It can be used as a preliminary screening for hematuria. In recent years, the application of urine tests for telomerase, bladder tumor antigen (BTA), nuclear matrix protein (NMP22), BLCA-4, etc. has helped to improve the detection rate of bladder cancer.

The above is an introduction to the diagnosis of bladder tumors. Experts remind that cystoscopy is still the primary means of examining bladder tumors. Of course, flexible cystoscopy can also be used for examination.
