What lifestyle factors are related to nasopharyngeal cancer

Nasopharyngeal cancer is a malignant tumor in the nose. It is life-threatening. What are the causes of nasopharyngeal cancer? What causes nasopharyngeal cancer? Generally, the common causes of nasopharyngeal cancer are:

1. Environmental factors:

Residents in high-incidence areas love to eat local salted fish, pickled meat, and pickled vegetables. These foods contain extremely high levels of nitrite and a certain amount of nitrosamines and their various compounds. Among them, dinitrosopiperazine (DNP) has been proven to induce atypical hyperplasia, carcinoma in situ, and invasive cancer in the nasopharyngeal mucosa of mice, with an induction rate of up to 40%. This shows that nitrosamines and their compounds are closely related to the cause of nasopharyngeal cancer.

2. Virus factors:

More than 90% of people in my country have been infected with Epstein-Barr virus when they were young. Epstein-Barr virus infection is very common. The occurrence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma is obviously regional, so Epstein-Barr virus infection cannot be considered the cause of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. However, a large number of studies have found that Epstein-Barr virus is closely related to the cause of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Despite this, it has not been confirmed whether Epstein-Barr virus is the cause of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Further research is in progress.

3. Genetic factors:

Experts in TCM treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma said that the incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma has obvious regional characteristics, and has obvious racial and family clustering. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma is more common in the yellow race, and it is rare for white people to suffer from this disease. Families with a high incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, such as those who move overseas, tend to have a high incidence of the disease in their descendants. Nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients often have a clear family history. These phenomena indicate that genetic background plays a certain role in the cause of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.

The above is an introduction to the common causes of nasopharyngeal cancer. I hope it will be helpful to everyone. In daily life, we should pay attention to developing good work and rest habits to effectively reduce the occurrence of the disease. Once we suffer from nasopharyngeal cancer, we must go to the hospital for treatment in time to avoid serious impact on the condition.
