The MVD in pancreatic cancer tissue was significantly higher than that in adjacent pancreatic tissue and normal pancreatic tissue, indicating that angiogenesis increased significantly in pancreatic cancer. The MVD of patients with positive expression of midkine protein was significantly higher than that of patients with negative expression of midkine protein, indicating that midkine protein expression in pancreatic cancer is closely related to angiogenesis. The median survival time after surgery of patients with positive expression of midkine protein was significantly shorter than that of patients with negative expression of midkine protein, indicating that the relationship between midkine and pancreatic cancer is directly related to the prognostic evaluation of pancreatic cancer.
