Clinically, the symptoms of laryngeal cancer in different parts are different. When treating laryngeal cancer, symptomatic treatment should be given according to the different symptoms of laryngeal cancer. What are the common symptoms of laryngeal cancer ? Here are some common symptoms of laryngeal cancer in different parts.

Common symptoms of laryngeal cancer include:

(1) Symptoms of laryngeal cancer: ① Foreign body sensation, tightness, or swallowing discomfort in the throat. These are common early symptoms of laryngeal cancer, especially the first symptoms of supraglottic cancer, which are easily ignored. As the disease progresses, swallowing pain or a dry throat may occur. ② Hoarseness. At first, there is only fatigue in pronunciation, which gradually worsens, and hoarseness and aphonia occur, accompanied by dryness of the oropharynx. This is the first symptom of cancer in the 1/2 glottis area. Progressive hoarseness is true vocal cord cancer; intermittent hoarseness is false vocal cord cancer. In the early stage of supraglottic cancer, there is no hoarseness, only a foreign body sensation in the throat. Hoarseness only occurs when the vocal cords and glottis are affected.

(2) Coughing and coughing up blood: This is also a common symptom of laryngeal cancer. It is usually an irritating dry cough with little sputum, which is caused by tumor stimulation. When the tumor is necrotic and secretions increase, there will be more sputum or blood in the sputum. When the tumor occurs above the glottis, coughing up blood may occur. If the epiglottis is affected and damaged, severe coughing may occur when swallowing.

(3) Dyspnea: As the tumor gradually grows, the airway becomes narrower or blocked, leading to progressive inspiratory dyspnea, which is most obvious in subglottic laryngeal cancer.

(4) Lung infection: This is also a common symptom of laryngeal cancer. Lung infection is caused by necrosis and shedding of cancerous tissue and increased secretions flowing into the lungs, or accidental swallowing of food, resulting in aspiration pneumonia. Severe lung infection can be life-threatening.
