Methods and techniques for correcting fetal position

Malposition of the fetus is a problem that many women in late pregnancy have. Malposition of the fetus can be corrected through certain methods. After the fetal position is corrected, women can choose natural birth, which is better for both themselves and the child. So, what are the methods and techniques to correct fetal position? The answer to this question will be given below!

1. Knee-chest position

First, empty your bladder and loosen your pants pockets. The posture is as follows:

Do it once in the morning and once in the evening, each time for 15 minutes, for 1 week, and check once a week to see if the fetal position has returned to normal. The posture is to lie on a hard bed with your forearms straight and your hands spread out flat on the bed, your chest as close to the bed as possible, your hips raised, and your thighs and calves at right angles.

The chest-knee position can make the fetal buttocks exit the pelvic cavity. With the help of the change in the baby's center of gravity, the arc formed by the fetal head and fetal back slides along the arc of the uterine fundus to complete the opportunity of converting the breech position to the head position. With the help of changes in the fetal center of gravity, most cases can return to normal. If it is ineffective after one week, it is not recommended to continue posture correction to avoid umbilical cord entanglement and torsion.

2. Laser irradiation or moxibustion at Zhiyin acupoint

Use laser to irradiate the Zhiyin acupoint on the outer side of the heel of the two little toes, or use moxa sticks to burn the Zhiyin acupoint on both sides, once a day, each time for 15-20 minutes, and a course of treatment is 5 days. Be careful not to get too close to the skin to avoid burns.

The above two methods can be used. If there is no one to help, they can be used one after the other. If there is a husband to help, they can be done at the same time.

If the above two methods are ineffective, after 34 weeks of pregnancy, the doctor will check whether it is feasible to perform inversion from the outside, turning the fetus 180 degrees, and arrange a time for the inversion.

3. Bridge lying method

This method is also suitable for expectant mothers with breech presentation at 30-32 weeks.

1. The expectant mother lies on her back on the bed with her head resting on her arms.

2. Lift your waist and place a cushion or pillow underneath to raise your hips 30-50 cm. Do this once a day for 10-15 minutes each time.
