Introduction to three factors related to the etiology of gallbladder cancer

Clinically, there are several gallbladder diseases that are related to the cause of gallbladder cancer. They may be caused by the canceration of these gallbladder diseases. We need to pay special attention to the occurrence of these gallbladder diseases. What are the common factors related to the cause of gallbladder cancer ? The following is a list of common factors related to the cause of gallbladder cancer.

In general, the common factors related to the cause of gallbladder cancer are:

1. Gallbladder adenoma and gallbladder adenomyosis:

Gallbladder carcinoma in situ and 19% of invasive carcinoma tissues contain adenoma components, which only reminds the relationship between the two; in recent years, many data have recognized that gallbladder adenoma is a precancerous lesion of gallbladder cancer. About 10%-30% of gallbladder adenomas can evolve into cancer, especially adenomas with a diameter greater than 12mm. Some data point out that the expression of carcinoembryonic antigen of adenoma carcinoma is similar to that of gallbladder cancer, and the same antigen substances exist. The surface of gallbladder adenomyoma, which is covered with mucus-containing mucosa locally, may have mucus cell metaplasia areas, which are most likely to undergo malignant transformation. This is a common cause of gallbladder cancer.

2. Cholelithiasis and chronic cholecystitis:

It is also a common cause of gallbladder cancer. In foreign countries, 70%-90% of gallbladder cancer coexists with gallstones. After gallbladder removal surgery, 1.5%-6.3% of gallbladder cancer is found. It is also found that the larger the diameter of the stone, the higher the incidence rate. The incidence rates of stones with a diameter of <20-22mm and a diameter of >30mm are 2.4 and 10 times that of stones with a diameter of less than 10mm, respectively. Some people believe that cholesterol and bile salts in bile can evolve into carcinogens such as methylcholine under the influence of infection and other factors (especially when infected with anaerobic bacteria Bacillus subtilis).

3. Gallbladder polyps:

Gallbladder polyps can be divided into cholesterol polyps, non-cholesterol polyps, and polyp-type adenocarcinomas, which account for 50%-60%, 40%, and 10% of the total number of polyps, respectively. The latter may be adenoma-like, and 50% are accompanied by gallstones. It has been reported that in 90%-98% of gallbladder cancers, common polyps (the third type mentioned above) are mixed in with their cancerous foci, indicating that gallbladder polyps may have a certain relationship with the cause of gallbladder cancer.

The above are the common factors related to the cause of gallbladder cancer. I hope it will be helpful to you. For more questions about the cause of gallbladder cancer, you can consult our online experts, who will answer them very seriously.
