Introduction to clinically effective treatments for colorectal cancer

The large intestine is a place where tumors are prone to occur in the human body. If it is benign, it can be removed in time, but if it is malignant, it is colorectal cancer, which is more difficult to treat and has great harm to health. So what are the effective treatments for colorectal cancer ? The following will tell you about the effective treatments for colorectal cancer.

Generally, effective treatments for colorectal cancer include:

Chemotherapy

This method is also often used in clinical practice. It is a treatment method that uses chemical drugs to kill tumor cells, inhibit the growth and reproduction of tumor cells, and promote the differentiation of tumor cells. It is a systemic treatment method that has therapeutic effects on primary lesions, metastatic lesions, and subclinical metastatic lesions. However, chemotherapy kills normal cells and immune cells while killing tumor cells, thus producing a series of side effects. This is an effective treatment for colorectal cancer.

Surgery

Generally, the treatment of colorectal cancer can be determined based on the location of the lesion. There are two systems of submucosal lymphatic plexus and intermuscular lymphatic plexus in the wall of the colon. It is rare for cancer cells to metastasize to the lymphatic system in the intestinal wall. Once cancer cells penetrate the intestinal wall, they spread to the lymphatic system outside the intestinal wall. Once cancer cells spread, doctors will perform surgery to remove the lymphatic tissue adjacent to the tumor and above this plane to achieve treatment.

Tumor biological immunotherapy

According to experts, tumor biological immunotherapy is the fourth treatment model after traditional surgery and radiotherapy. The principle of this colorectal cancer treatment method is autologous cell immunotherapy, which refers to the mononuclear cells separated from the patient's peripheral blood, activated and amplified in vitro, and then injected into the patient's body to directly kill tumor cells or virus-infected cells, regulate and enhance the body's immune function.

The above is an introduction to effective colorectal cancer treatment methods. I believe everyone should have a preliminary understanding of this. Patients should choose the appropriate colorectal cancer treatment method according to their actual condition. They must be cautious, as it has a great impact on their condition.
