This method can cause local blood vessels to contract, reduce edema or drug diffusion, and thus reduce the inflammatory response of local tissues. After treatment and ice compress for 24 hours, general hot compresses can be used.

Use 250g of rhubarb and mirabilite to grind into a paste with vinegar, apply to sterile gauze, and apply to the phlebitis area. Use traditional Chinese medicine that can detoxify, promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, and relieve inflammation and pain to make a paste for application, which has a good effect on edema, blood stasis, and pain caused by various drug leakage.

Grind peach kernels and raw gardenia into fine powder and add normal saline to make a paste for external application, or grind Liushen Pills and add appropriate amount of honey to make a paste for external application.

External application of drugs such as magnesium sulfate and sodium bicarbonate can be directly absorbed through the skin into the subcutaneous tissue, and has the effects of relieving vascular spasm, improving microcirculation, anti-oxidation, alkalization, and relieving local inflammation.

Apply wet compress with gauze containing sodium bicarbonate, furacillin, compound catechu tincture, 75% ethanol, sodium thiosulfate, vitamin C, hydrocortisone, etc.
