TCM Syndrome Differentiation and Treatment of Type 2 Early Rectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer is a highly prevalent malignant tumor of the gastrointestinal tract in my country. "Lingshu" records that "Intestinal polyps are like cold air invading the outside of the intestines, fighting with the Wei Qi, and the Qi cannot be nourished. Because of something, it stays inside, bad Qi arises, and polyps grow." In the early stages of rectal cancer, it can be treated through Chinese medicine differentiation of symptoms, which can improve the body's positive energy while detoxifying and fighting cancer.

Spleen and Kidney Yang Deficiency ?

Symptoms: The patient has a lot of salty phlegm in the mouth, no appetite or vomits after eating, frequent hiccups, abdominal distension and dull pain, prolonged diarrhea, blood in the stool, dark blood or abdominal lumps, sallow complexion, cold limbs, pale and fat tongue, and deep and thin or slow pulse.

Treatment method: Warming the yang and strengthening the spleen.

Reference prescription: Fuzi Lizhong Decoction with modifications, such as Psoralea corylifolia, Evodia rutaecarpa, nutmeg, Schisandra chinensis, ginseng, Atractylodes macrocephala, dried ginger, Fuzi, licorice, etc.

Liver and kidney yin deficiency?

Symptoms: Early patients have obvious abdominal discomfort, abdominal distension and pain or heavy acidity, thin and flat stools, or stools with mucus, pus and blood or dry stools, soreness of the waist and knees, insomnia and forgetfulness, dry mouth and throat, irritability, dizziness and tinnitus, distension and pain in the ribs, fever in the five hearts, thin and rapid pulse, and red tongue.

Treatment method: Nourish yin and tonify the liver and kidneys.

Reference prescriptions: Zhibai Dihuang Decoction combined with Qingchang Yin with modifications, such as Rehmannia root, Cornus officinalis, Chinese yam, Alisma orientalis, Poria cocos, Cortex moutan, Anemarrhena asphodeloides, Phellodendron chinense, Lonicera japonica, Angelica sinensis, Sanguisorba officinalis, etc.
