Prostate cancer patients don't have to fight cancer

When it comes to major diseases such as prostate cancer, people often use words such as "fighting the disease" to express their confidence in defeating the disease. This statement is not bad, but for some patients, too much "fighting" will make them full of fear, and feel that they are in a state of struggle, facing collapse at any time. In fact, we can completely change our mindset. Instead of fighting cancer, it is better to "coexist" with it.

While suffering from the disease, patients also have to face the torture of sequelae or toxicity brought by the treatment. If patients always maintain a mentality of fighting cancer, they will have tremendous psychological pressure, because there is always a knot in their heart, and they always have to tighten the string to remind themselves to defeat the disease, but the result may be counterproductive, causing themselves to collapse due to the tremendous psychological pressure.

Some patients face the threat of prostate cancer and persist to the end, never giving up the fight and unable to accept death under any circumstances. This state of mind is understandable, but realistically speaking, the result of their desperate efforts may cause mental pain to themselves and their families.

Therefore, patients should realize that fighting cancer may not necessarily be more realistic with a calm and composed mind. Cancer cells have existed in the body for years or even decades before they are discovered, and have long been a part of the body, so patients should accept its existence and accept treatment. However, if the doctor determines that treatment is not meaningful, they should accept the idea of coexisting with cancer, because the patient has coexisted with cancer for many years and there is no need to fight it. If you have this optimistic mentality, you will at least not feel too painful.
